Also I know Lum is a demon, but when she opens her mouth wide showing her teeth, it isn't pretty to see Also the 2 storyline per episode format goes away at episode 20, that's when I feel it starts to get real good. I'm seeing something different. Two episodes actually are combined into one in the 20s Right, I guess that's what I'm trying to say. First half of the episode covers 1 storyline and the second half covers a different one.

I'm currently 43 episodes into my rewatch of UY. Still gotta finish Joe as well, and I'm halfway through Now and Then, Here and There (kinda taking priority at the moment, should finish maybe today). On top of all the good seasonal stuff this winter (still got to check out Promised Neverland). To much anime, too little time.

Still gotta finish Joe as well, You still on the first season? Don't miss watching on Ashita no Joe 2. Although the first batch of episodes are in essence a remake of the later S1 episode arcs, the sequel is a significant improvement quality wise and takes a better direction I'm halfway through Now and Then, Here and There (kinda taking priority at the moment, should finish maybe today). Damn. You are finishing that one fast. On top of all the good seasonal stuff this winter (still got to check out Promised Neverland). To much anime, too little time. I feel Neverland is one of the series that works in favor of any method of watching (weekly vs binge)

I feel like Now and Then just wouldn't be as effective if I had stretched it out over a longer period of time. Plus it is interesting enough that I want to see want happens next.

I hear you on that. Antagonist needs to develop a lot stronger and the kid isn't going to make much impact given with what he has (and superpowers isn't going to help)

Hard to believe that a female written a "195" or so anime episodes about finding ways for the men to come up with perverted schemes and it's not even shounen or tagged as ecchi.
(And there's a tentacle scene)

One of my favorite instances of this is the rugby episode where all the guys conspire a way to get away with groping Ryuunosuke. Also had some great Macross references spread throughout it.

Cat Girl Nuku Nuku is so stupid, but to an extent that's kinda funny. This lady creates a death laser satellite that somehow draws all it's energy from the earth, fixes itself, can hit a target with insane accuracy even through buildings, and is controlled entirely with what looks like a calculator. Maybe the most evil thing ever created. Later she drops the controller which results in it targeting her (why you would program it to be able to shoot yourself idk), and the only way to stop it is to travel to the satellite and shut it down manually before it fires in 6 hours. You might think they would take some futuristic space ship designed by her company since the show is full of goofy future tech, but they end up taking a NASA style space shuttle. Show is just weird.
You get some derpy art at times too.

Only thing I would mention with the movies is again that Oshii directed the first 2, and that the second movie was what created a clash between him and Rumiko as it was a completely original work with no input from her. Also the 5th movie adapts the end of the manga, so that's probably the best one to end on. Lum the Forever is the only one I didn't really like. Felt like it tried to recapture the weird and surreal atmosphere of Beautiful Dreamer, but just ended up being confusing and nonsensical.

I get that but there are times in which she basically let's him get to home base opportunity with her or opportunity for him to do lewd things but he doesn't capitalize. Since he isn't officially married and he still looks for other women yet she still loves to him, he could have manipulated the situation and took advantage, given his perverted nature

They couldn't have chosen better colors for the original Gundam? It looks ugly as hell.
Also the intermission is really annoying.

I know the two didn't see eye to eye very often, but Oshii leaving to do his own thing may not be related to that.

Lot of early mech designs haven't aged super well. My biggest issue with Ideon was how dumb the mech looked.
