Red Sox's winning AL East is pretty much inevitable. A win or a Jays' loss will secure it.

Red Sox winning the division is unsurprising. Hopefully the Jays hold on to a WC spot, maybe make a miracle run...
Pete Rose made another bid for reinstatement, this time to Cooperstown iirc...I still want to see him made eligible, his accomplishments as a player are more than sufficient and I honestly don't care that he bet on his team to win as a manager. I get that it's against the rules but seriously, who gives a shit if they're not throwing games?
Fernandez is getting way too much posthumous hype...I want to correct some of it but I know that saying anything negative (even if it's factual) would be met with insane backlash. He definitely had an amazing knack for strikeouts but a 4.07 career road ERA is incredibly unimpressive.
Joey Votto continues to explode, 4th in the league right now with a .983 OPS and an unbelievable .413/.500/.671 second half batting line. I think he has a case for being the most talented hitter in the game today.

Jays should try getting their hands on Votto if they can't hold on to Bautista, Encarnacion and Donaldson.

I seriously doubt that Votto leaves Cincinnati. Based on what I've heard/read, he wants to stay there even though he understands that they're still rebuilding and probably won't contend until he's on the decline. I'd love to see my favourite player in his home country but I think it's unlikely unless something major changes.

Jays, Orioles, Tigers and Mariners are still at it after Jays lost last night. Plus, this weekend will be rainy in some of those areas and Tigers' game last night has already been postponed to Monday if needed already.
It should an interesting 3-4 days of the wildcard race nonetheless.
