For some reasons, 2-time Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum is still a free agent. He will have a pitching session soon that there will be about 20 teams interested to sign him.

There are apparently more PED suspensions coming, no big names though.

Bartolo Colon became the oldest player to hit his first career home run (41). It also took him 31 seconds to run all four bases.

ballinhun8 Crazy to think Chicago has the best pitcher currently in both the AL and NL. Here's hoping Sale and Arrieta both start the all-star game, that would be cool.

Full fight from the Rangers feed. I was flipping back and forth from the Raptors game and I actually missed the Jays feed here.
Can't lie, Toronto to massive L's in this game, but most importantly it was on the scoreboard. They are like 3-10 in 1 run games now, which is unacceptable. Jose, JD, and Chavez are getting suspended for sure.
Also, fuck Baltimore fans acting like they won the world series because of that punch. Also, fuck Odor forever.

It was very similar to the other Raps/Jays incident, Lowry hitting the buzzer beater three before Smoak hitting a walk-off homerun few seconds later, a while ago. They are both cool for us Toronto sports fans. But yeah, it sucks for Jays but I can understand it from Bautista's and the team's sides. Joey believes the retaliation for the bat flip is uncalled for, and the team absolutely supports him. You know this was gonna happen sooner or later, so have them let it go like that is fine in baseball. They can deal with 1 run games problems later, maybe after Travis returning. Odor has to be suspended as well though.

Throwing at someone intentionally is always the wrong thing to do. No excuses for it, extremely dangerous.

If they intentionally bean someone, they will aim a fastball at the person's thigh, the safest spot to do so. They just want to send the message not to kill. Utley Slide though is very dangerous.

I don't even like it for sending a message. Sending a message should be accomplished through winning imo, nothing more is needed. The Utley slide was definitely brutal.

Winning alone won't deliver to the person of interest. You have to deliver it to the person directly. Pretty much similar to fighting in hockey, it is an old school method to deliver "justice". Still, it was kinda dumb for Jose not to take an advantage of being bean'ed by trying to tying the 1-run game up and let the next Jays pitcher to take a revenge of his behalf but chose to return the message himself instead.

The old school mentality is there to protect players themselves when referees do next to nothing to protect them. But nowadays the leagues are doing more to protect their own properties so that mentality seems outdated.

Odor got 8-games suspension plus $5,000 fine for having the best punch in MLB in years. He will appeal.
Bautista got 1-game suspension for the Utley Slide that led to the punch and the fights after. He will also appeal.
Jesse Chavez got 3-game suspension for intentionally pitching at Prince Fielder.
Elvis Andrus got 1-game suspension for throwing a punch.
John Gibbons got 3-game suspension for coming back into the field after being ejected earlier plus being ejected again the very next day.
Jays' first-base coach Tim Leiper got 1-game suspension for returning to the dugout after being ejected.
Matt Bush, Kevin Pillar and Josh Donaldson all escape the suspension but instead being fined.

Still sucks the Jays lost yesterday but at least they won it today and now play Baltimore 7 times in the next 11 games. Have to take advantage with Machado probably out for a while.

Such a shame that Ichiro didn't play in the MLB earlier. Only needs 20 more hits to join the MLB 3,000 Hits Club. He'll be the 30th player to do so. Impressive since he came to MLB at age 27.
