Finally, do you think he'll be able to boost the Raptors chances of taking the East or do you think we'll just see more of the same of what we've already seen this year?

Seems fair, but do Raptors fans in general feel like they can take down Cleveland in the Playoffs? I know you have had a dark cloud of the past two seasons hanging over you, but that dark cloud is now playing for the Clippers, so I'm pretty sure you'll make it out of the first round this year, the real challenge is the Cavs though

I never really got to watch the Raps/Cavs matchups this year, what advantages do the Raptors have? I know the backcourt is obviously better, but what else do they have?

I never really got to watch the Raps/Cavs matchups this year, what advantages do the Raptors have? I know the backcourt is obviously better, but what else do they have? The Cavaliers advantage is massive: LeBron Raptors have a better backcourt, bench, chemistry, and coach. The way to exploit the Cavs is to run a ton of pick n roll and chase them off the line. They are going to crash the boards but the Raptors do have enough bigs to cover that. There's really no reason they shouldn't go to the finals if it's not tor health.

Bad start, pretty clear Atlanta has a lot more incentive to win this game. Also, Carrol in.

DeRozan, bad shooting night and hasn't gotten to the free throw line. Lowry only one who has consistently showed up and it's only 4 point defect at half-time.
Should make that come back by drives and packing the paint on defense.

Impressive game from the raps. No Derozan/Lowry, plus this game has real playoff implications for the Pacers yet they're going to end up winning this comfortably.

The Raptors are just a well rounded team. Once they win some rounds, they will get the "fringe contender" label, even though that's what they are right now.

So I didn't watch any of this game because I preferred to be tortured by the Jays pitching imploding. But damn, Norman Powell...
Throughout the season, I liked him except for his ugly perimeter shot. And now that has looked alright of late. Never bad to get a, hopefully, good rotation player out of the 2nd round.

Hell of a game from Powell. He now has a total of 27 fta on the season, 19 of which came in this game alone.

What did Phil Jackson said about true contenders in the league? That a team must win 40 games before reaching their 20th loss. The Raptors accomplished that this season.

I'd be good to come away with this one seeing as Raps are likely getting the Knicks pick.

I'll gladly admit that I was wrong about Casey. There were several times in the past I felt he wasn't doing a good job with this team, and I just haven't had those complaints this season.

Did you guys like that Masai played down expectations with his 2-10 quote? I kind of agree with him on it, but I don't necessarily think it's true. In the playoffs usually the team with the better coach prevails especially in the first round.

In the playoffs usually the team with the better coach prevails especially in the first round. He said that in the context of the Eastern Conference getting better than it has been in the past. He was boosting the East because he also said he looks forward to competing with the Pacers and winning. Masai at the end of the day is a GM and it's his job to makes a sales pitch too.
