Coming off a blowout win vs the Bucks. Great team effort a d a big 2nd half. No DeMar, Jonas, and still no DeMarre... The Raptors find themselves at 45-21, now 5 wins away from a franchise best. This is the only NBA team to not have a 50+ win season. But even with that, Raptor fans know what is more important and that is playing deep in May. Meanwhile, the worst side of this fanbase (which will go unnamed) believes that the ball movement was picture-esque and can be attainable because DeMar stops the movement and holds the team back. I have never seen a player who happens to be the leader in wins for the franchise being so disrespected. He's not better than Kyle, he's also damn good player in his own right. , he should play better defense. , he take better shots... Still his positives out weight the negatives. Why do these things not apply to guys like Jonas who clog up space and take forever to make a move is beyond me. Let's all rag on DeMar and praise Norman Powell because we just don't like how DeMar plays. Getting really frustrating when majority of this fanbase just blows Kyle and Jonas like they can never so any wrong. Nothing against Kyle by the way. He's kinda the player as a leader I have wanted to see. Still shouldn't have taken that ass kicking by the Wizards last year to get remotivated. I know of DeMar played that badly, the pitchforks would be out and he would not leave Toronto alive. The other fanbase needs to give more props to Casey too. Guy somehow has played a different combination of lineups all season and is still getting them to 4th best record in the league... And yet no serious COY talks ? It's a disgrace. It's not all Kyle and DeMar out there. He's improved as a coach, trusting the younger guys more, proper call after the time out, lot of the players are having their best seasons. Playoffs still got me bugging. I can't really figure this team out till DeMarre comes back. Should Jason start over Scola ? Does James still have a role in this rotation ? Can they finally get out of the first round ? Stay tuned.

edit: posted in the wrong thread but anyway, I wish the Raptors good luck. I'd much rather see them come out of the East than the cavs or celtics

Raptors vs the Warriors/Bulls/Nuggets/Kings = 0-10 Raptors vs the rest of the league outside those 4 teams = 45-11

What is it about the Bulls?

What is it about the Bulls? From another thread: "It's just a mental thing at this point. It's probably the reason why they couldn't beat the Wizards last year when they had Pierce. I've already said why guys like Rose, Butler, Noah, and Gasol have gone off and they have the ability to go off even with injuries and advanced age. But check the role players on the Bulls that have gone off during this 9 game streak: -Taj Gibson: Always kills the Raptors on the offensive boards and back cuts. -Nikola Mirtoic: Had a career high 29 points and his best overall game of his career against the Raptors (29/11 reb/4 blks). -Mike Dunleavy: Has had great shooting games on the Raptors, always kills them from distance. -Tony Snell: He's only hit 20+ once this season and it was against the Raptors. 2nd most points of his career. -Doug McDermott: He's hit 20+ 3 times in his career, all this season. 29 and 30 point games BOTH came against the Raptors. The other 20 point game was against the Hawks and the Bulls lost by 15. -Bobby Portis: A rookie putting up a near double double on his in a game he helped pull the Bulls away in Chicago. -Aaron Brooks and E'twan Moore: Both have had solid games coming off the bench vs the Raptors or starting. Have had a couple of 15+ point games. And again, they just look like a confident group against Toronto. It looks effortless for them at times. McDermott looked like he was prime Kyle Korver last night."

I think it's a good thing Biyombo doesn't touch the ball much. He fumbles way too often, especially tough passes.

What is it about the Bulls? Jimmy Buckets just shuts down DeRozan. They have length that give our guards trouble, since our offence is strictly based through Lowry and DeRozan.

He's guarded him well, especially in the clutch. Jimmy also has much better team around him. Even on Monday, there was so many players that stepped up in place of him. McDermott and Moore particularly killed it from distance, so did Mirtoic. Taj Gibson kills the Raptors all the time with offensive rebounds. Only guys who made a difference for the most part on Monday were Kyle and DeMar.

What's the status on Jonas V?
I pickup Bismack for some rebounds and blocks.
I think they should restrict Jonas' mins to prepare for the playoffs. ;)

Isn't the problem with Casey last postseason was because of his lack of adjustments against his opponent? I mean for cripe sakes, he got outcoached by Wittman out of all people.
I can't see him changing his philosophies.

I can't see him changing his philosophies. I used to take issue with the way he utilized JV. Hansbrough was the backup back then though, with Biz now it's more understandable when he's not on the floor.

And his 1 BLK increased my BLK edge to 17-9. Currently in 1st round of fantasy playoffs. Leading 8-1 but most categories besides PTS, FG% are actually close. Prob got BLK wrapped up too since my opponent don't have any blockers.

Fitting end to an otherwise god awful first half.
Terrible shots and turnovers was the theme.
