Skipping February🚧✊🏿🚫 OutRosez @iamoutbreak Tom Is Dead tsk SugarHill Suguru101 BurningHammer Last Stand @boogiewoogiewam Rondo Bandito. @anyone (highlighting people who I think would be into old school songs/bands/eras..) Just curious! Lets say bands that originated at least 30yrs ago.. So before mid-1980s. For me in no particular order: -Beatles -Pink Floyd -Journey -Aerosmith -Eagles -Simon & garfunkel (duo but I throw them in as band) -Earth Wind & Fire -Bon Jovi -Queen I have a few other bands on my playlist like The Who, Temptations, Guns&Roses, BeachBoys, but having 1 song from them excludes them from consideration for me anyways.

-Beatles -Pink Floyd -Journey -Aerosmith -Eagles -Simon & garfunkel (duo but I throw them in as band) -Earth Wind & Fire -Bon Jovi -Queen I like: The Beatles, Journey, a few Aerosmith songs, Simon and Garfunkel, 80s-early 90s Bon Jovi, Queen, The Who, Temptations and hate everything else you listed. When is the cut off for this? Classic rock? Because technically shit like Green Day, The Offspring, etc is now classic. From 60s-80s I'd add: RHCP, REO Speedwagon, The police/Sting, and I'm sure there's more but those were the big 3 I thought you missed for me personally.

Any band that started before mid-80s. I haven't heard of the few you listed Surprised you don't like Pink Floyd. Looking through my playlist again. I have couple Rollingstones songs too. Seeing couple songs from Chicago, both songs from original Karate Kid movies. I see Survivor with couple songs from Rocky. Tons of songs to go through my playlist for bands I'm forgetting. Might be few others I'm forgetting, but kinda bored looking through my playlist multiple times for this thread

Yeah I didn't count Chicago or Survivor for that reason. I just occasionally listen to those songs every once in a while, but I wouldn't call myself a fan of them. They just have multiple hit songs I like.

I'm a fan of an endless list of music from before whatever cutoff date you decide. But if you're going for the well known groups, then I'd put Pink Floyd, David Bowie, The Beatles, and The Velvet Underground above the rest, in no particular order.

The 2 bands before mid-80's that I really follow:
- Pet Shop Boys: my first ever foreign band (back then when I haven't migrated to Canada yet). Also, my first ever concert that I went solo were theirs. I believe it was just a little detour concert along their world tour. The set was minimal but the show was great.
- Kraftwerk: I discovered the band much later but has been my favorite since.

Adding to the list; any bands with Vince Clarke in.
- Depeche Mode
Well, the band then mutated from popsy sounds to darker sounds after Clarke left, but the rest of the crew are amazing by themselves anyway.
- Yaz/Yazoo
It is short-lived but the hits are timeless.
- Erasure
When Clarke got his own Freddy Mercury-lite.
