From my research I don't think Quin has a chance at getting the award; everyone expected the Celtics to do just about this good, but Mike D. got the Rockets to perform significantly better than anyone thought, and also at a higher level than Boston. |

WoW's picks: MVP: Harden. He is better than Russel Westbrook. Both stat pad and that pisses me off, but Harden is more efficent and doesn't force the issue nearly as much as Westbrook does. I despise both players, but Harden is the choice. People today are being prisoners of the moment of Westbrook's accomplishments of a few games and being enamored with the roundness of his numbers when Harden would be the one you want on your team if you had to choose between the two. DPOY: Rudy Gobert. Lots of people say Draymond Green for many reasons, among them being that Green is able to guard multiple positions. People are foolish though as Rudy can do that better than Draymond can. Rudy's help defense is some of the best this league has ever seen, certainly far better than anything else any other player in the league can muster; and when switched out to guards, Rudy routinely gets the better of them. Draymond will likely win due to popularity, but it will be a travesty COY: D'Antoni. I already argued above 6th Man: Ummm, I really have no idea MIP: Gobert? Now that I think about it, give the award to Otto Porter Jr. That dude straight up balled this year All-NBA 1st: Westbrook Harden LeBron Kawhi - KD missed too many games Rudy Gobert The toughest choice for all-nba is the Center. Gobert/Anthony Davis is the big one, but I've got Gobert. It may not be the most accurate way but I based most of my picks off of Spurs games I watched this year. Out of all the games I watched Quin Snyder was one of the only, if not the only guy to outright outcoach Pop multiple times this season. Also my picks are who I think "should" win moreso than who I think "will" win. Both Stevens and Snyder have yet to win the award but I would say they're both more than deserving. |
