Games 1 and 2 in the playoffs for the Spurs this year and Duncan will have over 100+ playoff games played than Garnett. Already has 100+ playoff games played over Nowitzki.
That's pretty unbelievable. Guy has impacted the game far more and in far more games played than his 2 closest PF/C rivals during his tenure.

If you had to combine two players to create something closest to MJ, I'd probably go with Westbrook and Leonard.

Unfortunately I wasn't around to see young MJ live, but I watched a shit load of his games and highlights since and Westbrook reminds me a ton of young MJ. That one man fastbreak, the no it's not possible... holy shit, speed, rim attacking, aggressiveness. Westbrook also has that idgaf attitude and he has no problem baring the load and responsibility. Super talented, walking triple double, athletic freak. Unfortunately he's also a bit of an idiot so that leads to too many unforced turnovers and crazy shot attempts.
Which is where Kiwi steps in. Great basketball IQ, those alien motherfucking hands, always composed, always cool, so focused. Still got a bit of that killer instinct but he does it quietly like I know I'm better than you and you know it. Throw in the footwork, the defense, the drive to improve each year, and his midrange game. Little closer to older MJ.
I don't know if MJ was that good if you take the best of these two great players. With Kobe retired tho, weirdly GOATbrook and Kawhi remind me most of him. Which is a bit odd because they're really different players.
btw that play reminds me a lot of this
If Kawhi starts doing that MJ palming ball fake I'm going to lose my shit.

I wasn't fortunate enough to watch prime MJ but those comparisons are spot on from everything I've seen. I'll use this opportunity to post one of my favorite westbrook freak dunks. It's the same kind of poetry in motion dunk that reminds me of MJ.

Was there any word on Boris being hurt in the playoffs? He's fat. I've been hearing a lot of bad stuff about Diaw recently. I think there's a good chance he doesn't return to the spurs next year.

Murray was such a clutch ass pick, literally could not have found a better spot for him. Needs to improve the jumper and tighten up the decision making...pretty much what the Spurs do. The raw talent is undeniable. If they can work even 25% of the magic they did with Kawhi with Murray, they just got a star PG.

The raw talent is undeniable. If they can work even 25% of the magic they did with Kawhi with Murray, they just got a star PG. I saw that some mock drafts had him going as high as 9. Spurs got him at 29. Spurs definitely needed a starting calibre PG for the future, they were very fortunate to get one in the draft. I hope this guy pans out well and is starting within the next 2-3 years. Every spurs fan wanted a long athletic guard in the draft.
