Holy fuck. I'm deeply saddened today.. I always ask myself after every such event: Why do we do this to one another?

I posted this after the paris attack, but it applies here too even though the guy doesn't seem like a ISIS terrorist:
There are 2 types of people in this world – one are those that are compassionate and others are those that are not. Compassion has no borders, no religion, no social class, no science to it, no politics, no creed, no culture, no ethics. Either one is compassionate or one is not. The terrorists use religion as their reason for terror, but no religion out there teaches that murdering innocents is okay. No god that is ‘just’ would want innocents killed in his/her/it/their name. Compassion is appreciating how precious life truly is, having a sense of giving to those less fortunate, helping out others without letting your own issues stand in the way of who you are, inspiring & pushing others to be better people, and advancing humanity towards a better tomorrow. That is compassion.

I wish people would not take advantage of this by comments like these on FB about this shooting: "Radical Islamic Terrorist. The war is on our ground. Do we lay down or fight back? Time for a leader in Washington that loves America and will defend her."
He is a Trump supporter btw. Many people still think Obama is muslim and not American. These same people still think we are not fighting in middle east right now due to who they consider a "muslim president". Cost of ignorance to society is much more costly than the cost of education.
