Doesn't Bran need the tree branches to warg to certain places in time? He is no longer at the tree. SPOILERS below **
@blackandwhite .. there is another issue too. If Bran was responsible for the wall and everything, why couldn't he just make it so the whitewalkers never existed in the first place? He could even convince the humans of the past to stay out of the far north. Then again, if this were to happen, there is no guarantee he would end up in the north to orchestrate all this in the first place. Each time he changes the past, he experiences a different timeline essentially. There is bound to be a few timelines in which he dies for whatever reason. This is why he is not supposed to change the past and/or get stuck. Look only but no touch! Hodor and the whitewalkers was the only 2 times he fucked up. There is bound to be a 3rd catastrophic mistake though. Yea, that opens up a few things, thanks for your insight, it makes me look at things differently, but since he tampered with a few things in the past what sort of ripple will this start to create in the future?

@blackandwhite
Well, the ripples have already taken place. The show we have seen is with the ripples that have ALREADY taken place! We don't know how the world would be without the ripples. Nobody would have any idea unless if you are looking in at the world from outside the universe or if you're somehow unhooked from the timeline (essentially the idea of 'god'). If so then the ripple would be obvious and you would know of 2 separate timelines (or infinite timelines depending on the number of times the history is changed).
What this means is there will not be a new ripple taking place. We will simply find out what the ripples were that have already altered the timeline.
I also wonder if Bran is outside the universe when he wargs so he somehow can know about different timelines & would attempt to explain it to Meera. It seems unlikely and would become very very confusing for the viewers. I don't think Bran would know because he is part of the universe just like everyone, he just has this ability to warg within the scope of his universe.

This is why time being circular and each moment in time being interlinked fucks everything up. We don't know if our universe truly acts like that. I mean it could.. I cannot discount that possibility. When we think of time, we think of it in relative terms to something else because there is no such thing as absolute time AFAIK. Either that or we think of it in terms of events - A before B, D after C, etc. I think the Game of Thrones universe just works differently based on the mind of GRRM. I mean shit, somebody on ISH made the point to me that if they have dragons and magic and shit, obviously the universe is much different along with the laws of physics!

I was about to bring up this point to you. You're watching a fictional show, where shadow ninjas are birthed through a woman that appears pretty but is actually ancient, and where a family line is immune to fire, and where frozen zombies, giants, and dragons were known as myth but are actually real. Those are just a few things I named that are unbelievable compared to our world. Why stop your suspension of disbelief when it comes to time? lol Maybe GRRM believes in destiny? I've met a ton of people that do. There are a bunch of old religions that do as well. Hell, there are even a Christian sect like the Calvinists that believes some people are destined for heaven and others are destined for hell, and there is nothing they can do about.

The amount of planning grrm puts into this world is unprecedented. Every word spoken is chosen so precisely and no Interaxtion is meritless

True true, I need to stop thinking in terms of our universe. It's a whole different fictional world. I guess it's just natural to attempt to figure out things from your own perspective without putting it into the proper context.

This was one of the better recent episodes. Bran's flashbacks, Benjen, The King's Landing scene feeling like something in the earlier seasons, Jaime being sent to the Riverlands
No Ramsay the Snow Snake either.
A high bodycount and constant "shocking" moments water down the whole experience. Would rather have it build up a bit and set characters up more like s1 rather than just deaths that ultimately serve to render character's storylines meaningless.

Man is there a point to Dany's scenes anymore? Other than listening to her forced empowered woman speeches? I can't wait for Dany to die a horrible death, bitch is mad as they come, get a 100K Dothraki savages to the Seven Kingdom and after a year the place will look worse than current Valyria. I dunno what Martin has planned for the books, but if they are anything close to this season I'd be very disappointed. At this point so late into the story, Dany has become worse and worse, however, as she is the apple of the eye of Martin; she gets to come out like a legend after every mess she makes. Again going by the show, Bran is still the same ignorant clueless cripple whose lines mostly translate into; "I don't know, I have no idea what to do!".

They need to rush Dany over to Westeros. She is taking her dear time.. I'm sick of all the diversions. I want her on a ship in season finale trying to get to Westeros with her army.

For a move the plot along episode I thought it was pretty good. Usually these episodes have a Dany appearance, and thankfully this one didn't.

My favorite character is back! Thank you sweet baby jesus *SPOILERS WARNING* SPOILERS* BELOW * ----------------------------------------- The dog is your favorite character? 0_o haven't heard that before! Anyways, not much happened this episode. More preparation for battle, yadaa yadaa. More "whos dick is bigger?" stuff.. Theon and his sister seem to be traveling to Easteros to link up with Daeny but that is just conjecture. I dunno tbh. Dog is back. Arya knows she has to disguise herself now and cannot trust anyone anymore. End of episode. Meh... bit disappointing. Only like 12 episodes left to the entire show? What the hell?

Loved this episode. Advanced everyone's plotlines, had some interesting twists and turns without coming across as cheap shock value shit, really reminded me of something from season 2.
This is closer to what the last couple of seasons should have been

"boring episode" "filler!" spoilers ahead, but do you realise how full of shit you sound? {Spoiler} -hound returns, has a nice little quick story arc. bwb involved, possibly hinting at a newer, more brutal direction for them with LSH at the helm? + the obvious implication of cleganebowl -confirmed margaery plotting her own thing and not just being the high sparrow's puppet -jon, sansa, davos recruiting and forming a new army for the north- referencing that indeed this is a complex world with varying interests and shit doesn't just constantly fall into your lap unless the writers have a boner for you -sansa sending a letter to littlefinger, confirming interference in the battle -blackfish returns, taunts the freys and jaime, jaime shows how he's come a decent way since s1 but is still not fully there yet -theon and sis confirmed for essos, juxtaposition between cockless sister enjoying women while theon still has to man up -arya gets fucking stabbed showing that leaving the faceless men actually does have consequences no matter how smart you think you are! But no, instead you wanted -20 minutes of Ramsay flaying Rickon, slowly walking up to him and kissing his tears. Then he has Osha's corpse brought in and he fucks it in front of Rickon -Dany speaking to the dothraki again and saying the exact same thing she's always said -Sam complaining that he's hungry and wondering aloud if Valyrian Steel could be reforged into quality kitchen utensils -Sand Snakes breaking into the Red Keep and slaughtering the entire small council and then bowing down to cersei because they admire her as a strong woman, not like the weak men of Dorne who will never rule again -Arya effortlessly making it on the ship, where the crewmen beat her with a stick to teach her the ways of the shipmasters; she decides then and there she wants to be a shipmaster like them, even after being warned multiple times that it's a divine pact that can never be broken or they'll hunt her down themselves -Brienne riding into Sandor's camp, and killing him offscreen to finish the job this time for good That would have been a good episode for you maybe?

also whoever directed this episode actually has a concept of cinematography. some really nice shots, not just of new/returning locales, but in plenty of the dialogue scenes as well.
it helps that the episode wasn't 99% obscured by darkness. actually being able to see things is nice

When Arya was stabbed on the bridge, idk something about that scene was perfect. The girl who runs bear island was perfect. Whoever cast her deserves a fucking raise.
