Paid $200 for a copy of Earthbound, so I'll be spending the next little while playing through that again.

Played Monday: Zombie at my Neighbors. Barely survived and was upon the brink of death.
Played Tuesday:
Saturday Night Slam Masters. Finished and successfully defended title Super Mario World: On Valley of Bowser. Didn't get a chance to finish all the stages and get all the secrets yet.

Thoughts on No Man's Sky? Never really bought the hype and then I watched the leak on reddit and now I kinda want it...

Probably gonna replay Donkey Kong Country 3 with my cousin. Such a shame that the SNES select button is shitty on both the controllers.

Madden Mobile 17 and 18
Built a 99(93 base) team last year. This year is a bit harder or maybe it's just early in the season

Started playing Hyper Light Drifter. It's similar to 2D Zelda games, but more difficult. There's no diaglog and your character pukes blood periodically. I'm enjoying it so far

Replayed Uncharted 1/2 recently, this time on PS4.
I heard Bluepoint refined the shooting controls for the remastered versions, would make sense considering I enjoyed them quite a bit more than when I last played them on PS3.
Drake's Fortune is still a decent shooter but really hasn't aged all that well. On crushing, there's a few too many bullshit areas (chapter 4/5 mainly, where you're left with shitty cover with enemies swarming you from all sides) so I ended up dropping down to hard, which was then a bit on the easy side. Regardless, it just doesn't feel or play as good as the sequel. The jet ski parts are tedious and slow, the areas and constant hordes of enemies can get repetitive and platforming/movement controls are really loose. Not a bad game, but is probably skippable if you're playing through the series for the first time.
The second game basically improves upon everything. The shootouts and areas have more diversity, the characters have far more of a purpose in the story apart from just looking for a big payout like in the first one, the action set-pieces are bigger, better, more memorable and exciting. It still feels just as good today as it did back when it released, apart from the platforming controls which still feel kind of loose and floaty like the first one.
I think it deserves all the praise it gets. Start it up on crushing and enjoy the ride, one of the best games of its genre.

Lampzwat if im 2 scared 4 crushing difficulty?? P.S. Glad you enjoyed it btw. I'm in 100% agreement with you about Uncharted 2 being a huge improvement upon Uncharted 1. Uncharted 1 levels themselves also felt repetitive to me and not very well developed. I also have Uncharted 3, which I haven't played yet but will get to it soon enough. I just beat Ni No Kuni last week after a month of playing so taking a couple weeks off from gaming + I have some other stuff to do. I do wish there was an upgrade system in Uncharted where you earn money and can use the money to unlock things like different guns/pistols, armor, speed, scope, better gun accuracy, ability to heal faster, weaken enemy armor, different clothing pieces for Drake, etc like in the Hitman series, God of War, and even Last of Us. That would have been awesome imo!

also i think the lack of an upgrade system is fine, it's not a survival game where crafting is necessary like last of us, and you're not a hired assassin like in hitman
i like it the way it is, armour/weapon crafting would feel kind of out of place imo

Usually, I just rush through the choosing difficulty page when starting new game. I choose whatever is there highlighted by default - usually 'normal'. I'm more focused on the storytelling aspect than on shooting down extra enemies & enemies with more health. 'Do you have a compelling story to tell?' and 'how will you tell us that story?' Everything else falls into line behind that, taking care of itself. If it's too easy, I have gone out of my way to raise difficulty to hard before. Otherwise, I don't bother. I choose the default setting and experience what the designers/producers want me to experience without altering anything. I read reviews saying 3 isn't as good as 2, but I will let you know when I get to it! =]

Playing Journey.. Only 5 hours long but beautiful graphics/visual effects, looks simply marvelous. I can see the inspirational value.. It shows you don't need super complexity, strategies/plan of action, deep storyline for something to be considered fun. I mean there is a story to Journey but it's very subtle and more implied than explicit since there is no dialogue or any kind of text.
Journey is very much memorable since it's very different and extremely original, out of the box sort of game. It's a piece of art tbh. It is very much calming as well with very smooth soundtrack.. The subtlety reminds me a bit of Shadow of Colossus which was fun not due to some deep intricate story or run & gun action but the journey itself as you worked your way through killing the giants -- I guess there was the aspect of saving the girl, but still it was very subtle and zero dialogue.
Didn't beat Journey yet (played for about 2hrs so far), but will get through the rest of it tomorrow. Will post my overall thoughts on it tomorrow once I beat it..

Never heard of this game until a coworker told me about it. It had good reviews so I decided to get it. Really slow game and there's way too much narration. Visually it's pretty, but the level design is empty and the combat is constricting.

I have been playing Pillars of Eternity lately, been addicted last 4-5 days. I need to return back to writing so going to slowly limit how much I play it.
Overall, I think it's a very good game so far. Feels like an old school rpg game, I miss this tbh.. FF13 has nothing on this! I am not a huge fan of action rpg like ff13. I prefer original original turn-based rpg games like ff8 and hybrid rpg strategy games like Pillars of eternity, which are not technically turn-based but have deep and intricate storylines and well designed AI/battle system/strategy.
Lots of sidequests and voice acting is rock solid. Obviously took lots of time to make this game. I didn't even know about this game until a friend of mine was streaming Pillars of eternity 2, and I decided to try Pillars of eternity 1. POE 2 is supposedly an improvement so I will probably check that out next down the road.
