I have been reading that there are a ton of Blue Jays fans in the New BTE. So I felt that we should make a little thread for the Blue Jays. Saying that I am more of an Expos fan and if they do come back I am gone lol. For now I am all for the Jays! So lets win the world series baby!!!!!

Tuned in to a bit of their spring training game against Pittsburgh, Tulo blasted a homer and Floyd looked shaky.

I think that their offense could carry them through the season but I doubt they win the division again. Estrada regressing badly wouldn't surprise me at all.

Thank god for their offence. Maybe they can nab a SP before the trade deadline. But we lost a ton of assets and Shipiro doesn't look like a guy who would do that.

Shapiro is going to nickle and dime them out of contention.

Shapiro is going to nickle and dime them out of contention. I still cant believe they hired up prior to seeing how last season went. Typical Toronto base sports organizations. Making stupid decisions without studying all options. Shapiro might do a good job, but hiring him mid way through last season was dumb dumb dumb.

Even if Jose signs a new contract, it is probably going to be his last as a Jay.

I'd let both Jose and Edwin hit the open market and see what happens. The cost for them to forego free agency is rightfully ridiculously high. Why shouldn't it be? They want to cash in and I can't blame them.
As devastating as it would be to see Jose play in another uniform, you just can't give him anything more than a 4 year deal. If some team wants to go nuts and give 5 at $120+ million, not much you can do about that.

1. Marcus Stroman 2. Marco Estrada 3. RA Dickey 4. JA Happ 5. Aaron Sanchez
Here is your Toronto Bluejays' opening day starter rotation. Estrada may be on DL during the opening series though.
Also, Jays released Randy Choate and former All-Star Steve Delabar today.

As long as the offense and defense are as strong as they're supposed to be, that rotation should be good enough to compete for the division title. A full year of Tulo (hopefully?) will do wonders for both sides of the ball.

I have zero faith in Happ and Estrada is primed for regression, though consistent defense could mitigate that.
If anything happens for Toronto this year, it'll be in spite of the rotation imo.

Osuna officially is the Jays closer over Drew Storen.
It is good to have two relievers who are known to have good abilities to close games though.

Win #1 in the bag. Tulowitzki's 2 run home run was the difference maker.

Hopefully the Jays learn to not go to their end of bullpen scrubs in close late games.
The Rays are such an annoying team. Probably insignificant in the big picture but still overall annoying as fuck.

Donaldson seemed to know something was wrong and pull himself out as a precaution. Good for him since September and beyond is much more important.

Tough series starts tonight. The White Sox have the best pitching in the AL so far.
