Not sure if I will be able to finish Future Boy Conan if I'm going to try and finish all the 1-cour seasonals that finish airing before month's end.
Also have to consider doing my taxes and planning for my trip in April

Ended up finishing this sooner then I expected. Each episode did a good job of drawing me into the next one. The characters were fun, and the visuals were consistently great. Conan got shit done, also had the magic ability to never get hit with a bullet despite being shot at numerous times during the show. Miyazaki definitely likes to push the "technology is bad" message in your face in most of his works though, and this was no exception. It can be a little heavy handed at times, which is my biggest knock against it.  |

Just started. Considering it is from 1978 made-for-TV anime, it looks really good so far, better than some anime nowadays.

Little kids smoking, good indication of how old this show is. Meh. There are many kids in shithole countries, where tobacco companies dumping cig surplus on, smoking.  But yeah, that wouldn't get pass censorship in Japan nowadays for sure. |

Shark looks to weigh at least 300+ lbs. Grandpa survives bomb after being blasted |

This was one of the most "meh" anime I've ever watched. Nice animation for its time. OST is on the positive side, although honestly got less and less enjoyable the more often it was used. There were a few nice moments. None of the characters were good and were actually more on the irritating side. I could not care less for the story as the only thing that appealed to me is the intro but this series takes place after the battle. I tried to get into it, but maybe I couldn't get into it because the whole intro sounded so serious, but the show itself wasn't and I've been expecting the show to take a serious turn but it really didn't thanks to how some of the results, choices, and events that occurred. got shit done, also had the magic ability to never get hit with a bullet despite being shot at numerous times during the show. That actually was one of things that shouldn't irritate me but did surprisingly. |

Finally finished. Great adventure story. Solid 9/10.
Just few complaints:
- Lana sounds like 40-something mom instead of a girl.
- Monsley heel-face turn. She shot at Conan when he came up to her peacefully on one episode then switched side the next. For a girl who was hellbent on completing her missions and didn't show any signs of turning before the episode this seems weird to me.
- Orlo, who is the 2nd most asshole villain in the show who actually threatened to kill the whole villagers, is somehow easily forgiven.
