First episode is a little slow but it wastes no time getting weird after that. Yeah. The first episode was meh, but it's starting to pick. I love the randomness. Feels like a cartoon with the humor (ignoring the parody parts). Gainax is good at this. |

Chinatown is my favorite episode so far. The Hokuto no Ken parody after undergoing training with the panda to only deflate because of boobs, the DBZ parody including the "abridged", Bruce Lee jumpsuit sound effect and the wipe the face with thumb to then get powerup, the combo kick, the dumpling moment, the not waiting for Chinese "master" to get "prepared" for his technique only to get beaten up, the nostalgia kung fu beat'em up, the strangling of the neck tie, the imitation part rather than cheap knockoff reference and can't get enough of the girl's boobs  . Need my face in those boobs though seriously. Also Arumi is starting to be trigger happy but I forgive her. That tanned girl design keeps me at ease. |

I like the Cardcaptor Sakura parody, the dangerous objects part (should be a common internet everyday used gif for trash/cancerous stuff), TTGL like artstyle but technically the "dawn" with the orange colored look reminds me more of Samurai Champloo cover art, the Arumi kick to the naked Sasshi's dick, bunch of recognized move tropes even though I haven't watched the movies at all, the swearing in English (I universally love them whether it's from this anime, Gintama or somewhere else), the 7th squad...1st army long quote reminded me of Jugem Jugem name (Gintama's monkey) in which the characters kept repeating it.

Finished and I give it an overall 7/10. There were definitely strong episodes, but there were more decent episodes than good ones.
Hong Kong one is still my most favorite followed by the Battlefield one.
