Someone recommend me a good manga. Everything I find is too romance heavy and derivative but that's the price you pay if you try to avoid action/fantasy stuff. I just want something that hits a sweet spot of a good plot or characters.

It's rated high. Will check it out although it seems weird with the bird thing.
So I read Kamisama ga Uso wo Tsuku. Here's the weird thing tho. As I was reading, I got this feeling of deja vu like I read it a long time ago so I looked when it was made to see if it was around 09-11 cuz that would seem accurate to when I might have read it since I haven't been reading mangas in a while but it says it came out in 2013. I don't think it's possible I read it yet I remember reading this. It's very creepy. Great manga tho.

It's rated high. Will check it out although it seems weird with the bird thing. It's just how the main character and his immediate family are portayed, there are times when punpun's hands and body are shown realistically. It's a good contrast to the overall darker and depressing tone of the manga. |

- Since the bones are incomplete, they have to use monster bones to replace them.

- The resurrection is a success, though Farlyn seems to act like the dragon they just killed. |

Bleach is about to end next week, it was the manga I always read every week since like 2008. After all these years it's finally over. And as usual it crashed and burned near the end just like Naruto. FMA seems to be the only popular manga that actually had a satisfying last arc/ending.  |

I'd say slice of life mixed with scifi gimmick. So even if there is romance, there is more to it than that and that's enough for me. But you're right, it's heavy on that shit and I actually got annoyed sometimes  |

So Bleach ended and of course it was a rushed job, with so many questions still unanswered. I think I am gonna stop reading manga now. Waiting each week for a chapter, for years, then being disappointed when its all said and done is not a good feeling.

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but Dungeon Meshi looks like a better version of Toriko, DanMachi meets Shokugeki no Soma.  Finally read through this, really good read. Sucks the next chapter isn't out until October though. |
