Did I ever tell you how much I hate the people who go to Starbucks lol. That being said their peach great tea is lit so is their vanilla latte and some coffees. When I go I try to go in and out as quick as possible. overpriced shit. It doesn't even taste that good. Stop charging 5x more than tims. And stop asking for my name. Give me the shit and let me dip. Damn IT's for those rich suburban ladies.

Professor Robert del Tredici from Concordia University will be our guest star for the next episode. He's an expert on Animation studies in all its colorful forms. From Windsor McCay, Disney, Warner Bros, those weird, abstract European cartoons, Miyazaki, anime, Pixars, and CGI films. TV shows too.
If anybody has a question they would like to ask him, post it here and we'll ask him on the podcast. Keep it civil, people!

You took all the good questions. :) Also you can ask, which animated piece disappointed him the most? If he can't answer the favorite animated film/movie or you need to invest more time with an answer, ask him what is his favorite made by each studio.

Keep it civil, people! probably too late, but why does it seem like the big trend in the west is less detail and less realistic proportions and more now just throwing weird shapes together that vaguely look human? does he agree with the general consensus/circlejerk that western animation peaked in the 90s through maybe the early 2000s. how about how anime art feels a lot more sterile and souless/samey now compared to before? bring up DB super maybe? i dunno, to me it feels like its became less a labour of love and more a "let's push this shit ASAP since we're releasing a Super HD/blueray version a year later that people will buy anyway"

This man really loves his Pixar and Miyazaki. Surprised he hasn't watched that Futurama one, but I guess he isn't a big fan of it. It's good that he is a fan of Rick and Morty. I was beginning to think he never cared about dark comedy. There were lots of talk about movies for general younger audience (mainly targeting children) and it doesn't help that I actually haven't managed to watch most of what you guys were discussing (Big Hero, Wall-E, etc). Other than Rick and Morty and a listing of several anime shows, (ie Ghost in the Shell and Neon Genesis and some others that I don't even know about) which he isn't much of a fan of anime because he is on the Miyazaki train,I was hoping there would be some more Simpsons type talk (or any general famous young adult cartoons), DC/Marvel animation rather than live action, some kind of banned cartoons like Cow and Chicken, old school cartoons like Looney Tunes, kid cartoons that shouldn't be for kids like animaniacs, etc. I guess this will do as you know his interests more than I do and you only had an hour It seems you guys were discussing more of the reactions toward animation and their storylines, but I can see why you guys didn't really talk about animation styles since he wasn't an animator (I thought he was) and would be rather difficult to explain it without any visuals. Overall I enjoyed some good bits of it. The analogy of NGE, the Rick and Morty discussion (was my favorite), the funny Forty future animation technique that still needs a lot of development. One last thing, I still get confused between you two. You guys sound very similar to me. :)

He is a huge fan of LT and Simpsons, but time restrictions and the fact that you get carried away made it hard to add that in. Maybe next time. Yeah he is not to knowledgeable in Anime, I could tell during that class, his material was less than usual lol.

Gotta keep in mind this guy is 77 years old. By watching Rick and Morty, for his age, I find it pretty amazing. His usual humour in class is pretty dark to begin with. You got to see it at the end of the podcast when he spoke about the groundbreaking technology 'forty'. I remember one class, he was hyping up how Disney's cartoonists did a great job illustrating how elegent and graceful Bambi's momma was, and then he said, "now let's watch her die." He knows a lot about The Simpsons (even quoted a line from the show), Looney Toons, and Warner Bros' cartoons, but like Browntown said, we had to deal with the time constraint. I'm still surprised he agreed to do it in the first place! Thanks for giving this a listen to! Browntown and I are still learning and this was our first time interviewing anybody. We'll keep working on improving ourselves. Step by step. Our voices are similar? Probably the accent, but Browntown's voice is higher and louder, while mine is low and mellow lol. How do you mix that up?

How do you mix that up? Oh wow. 77? I didn't know. He does sound old though Dammit. He should have said that Bambi thing in the podcast! I know he had at least some interests in the Simpsons, but I felt like one of the best animated shows of all-time (arguably the best) in The Simpsons should get more mention than a quote. Feels that way to me, but you could also argue everyone has seen the Simpsons, so there's less chance of hearing something we don't know. I'm happy to hear that he enjoys Looney Tunes because I'd be surprised if he wasn't. That's his childhood nostalgia. No problem guys. I have voiced my joy of animation films (at least the comedy ones), so I was happy to listen to the podcast. To be honest with you, I didn't come up with those types of topics until I heard your podcast. As soon, I was typing my post, more ideas jogged to my head of possible things that could also have been discussed (alas it was too late!), which is why when you read my post, I was really rambling on. No idea. I guess I'm not good at detecting voice pitches To help me distinguish you two, browntown is the guy who talks more

So there's no tight schedule that you have to ask all these questions in x amount of time. You didn't cut him off really or anything until near the end when he asked if an hour passed already and you wanted to get as much material as possible, so you guys didn't sound like dicks. In podcasts, the interviewer usually is like "ok" or have that tone of "going to stop you there to ask you another question" I think I know how that comparison will pan out between Disney and Looney Tunes.

We were both raised in an Indian or Pakistani households, so of course we're going to adopt a bit of an accent from our parents. But most people aren't bothered by it.
If it bugs you that much don't listen.
