Let it be known, I believe the Jazz will get HCA this year and make it to the WCF. I've never said this x year is the year (aside from 10'), but this is it, we are going to dominate

WCF probably still away, but depending on how Exum looks, they could definitely get that 4th spot.
Or we could be overrating the hell out of this team and they will settle for a 7-6th seed.

I'm one of the few who thinks this, but thinking about it I think the Jazz will get the 3 seed (behind SA and GSW), and then I think they will take out SA in the second round which is probably my biggest prediction so far, where they will eventually be taken out in the WCF. I'm probably too optimistic, but they are better than Memphis, I believe they're better than the Clippers and Portland, and no-one else really poses much of a threat. We'll see how it goes though, but you're right in that Exum could be huge especially since he helped take our defense to historic levels back in 2015

Just some funny lines from a Jazz article that I read today. Makes the Jazz seem almost mythical... "If the Golden State Warriors are weaponized '7 seconds or less' consider the Utah Jazz the HAZMAT." "Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert, both rim protectors in their own right, became the gate keepers to an opposing team." "This wasn’t a team built to attack. This was a team built to counter-attack, to protect, to defend. They were built with speed, but that speed was used after stifling the opponents possession, after the block, after the steal. While the Golden State Warriors were a heavy barrage of artillery, the Utah Jazz were the impenetrable fortress. The Golden State Warriors were a representation of Silicon Valley: an overwhelming force swarming the globe over the internet. Smart, intelligent, calculating, and dynamic. Likewise the Utah Jazz have become their locale: immovable mountains jettisoned from a desert, a lake engulfed in salt where nothing grows, and like the NSA center built in its state, designed to seek threats and defend them. While the Bay is where offense thrives, near the Salt Lake, life cannot survive." "This is the Kraken that Dennis Lindsey has built. While a lot of the NBA looks at Golden State as the archetype for future success Dennis Lindsey and co. turned their backs to the new NBA gods and said, 'We can create something better in our own image.'" www.slcdunk.com/2016/9/5/12800204/golden-state-warriors-utah-jazz-2016-previewDefinitely overkill, but I had fun reading

Yeah, they're overselling what the Jazz have built a bit but it's nice to get these kind of articles about sports teams and their culture once in a while.

Yeah, the article overblows them a lot, but you do get a good look into the minds of lots of Jazz fans (my brother included)

Here is an actual look at the Jazz' new home jerseys. I notice all the slight differences and they look a lot cleaner and cooler than the precious home ones (the neck and arm trim look a lot better) And then a cool Article here on how all five Jazz Starters are in the NBA's top 100. Hayward topped out at 27 which makes me think how crazy it is that the Warriors have 4 of the top 25 players in the league right now www.sltrib.com/home/4357508-155/utah-jazz-all-five-projected-starters

WayOfWad3I saw some videos of Exum in preseason. He looks really good. Jazz are scary if Exum continues to play good D and passes well. Top 4 seed in west?

I've said on here and other places that the Jazz will get the 3 seed. Will they? Almost certainly not, but it's their ceiling. Top 4 is definitely attainable though. Outside of the Spurs/Clippers/Warriors the 4 seed is up for grabs, and I think the Jazz are better equipped to get it than most. Exam looks great, doing better than Hill even so far. That should change during the regular season though at least at the start. Don't be stunned though if he's starting by the end of the year, he's looking great so far. His shot has gotten a lot better; looks kinda weird but it's a lot better than his rookie year

If they play well with Hayward injured I think the Jazz can make noise early. Sorta sucks that they get no media attention.

If I'm not mistaken we've got 8 National TV games between ESPN and TNT which is 7 more than I believe the last 3 seasons combined. Bleacher Report has hyped them up a lot as well. And yeah Exum's defense is legit; dude is 6'6", has got long arms, has bulked up a bit but not too much, he made the Jazz defense historically good his rookie year. I don't know how much his ACL will wear on him, but he's looking good so far. And Ether, who's your favorite squad?

I hope they keep playing Exum. Didn't quite catch the game, was at a haunted house. How did he look? Obviously I can see the stats but did he appear better than he did against Portland?

This Friday is probably the most excited I've been to play the Jazz in the regular season. Spurs have no answer for George Hill and Gobert but in an interview Kawhi was asked if they will pay the Jazz back on Friday, his answer was "for sure"
Oh shit

As I said before the Spurs will play better, but they'll be playing in SLC where you know it's going to be tough. If my memory serves correct the Jazz lost two close games to the Spurs last season (I attended both) and blitzed the Spurs on both games the season before. George Hill is going to be key though; just watched the highlights and the Spurs had zero rim protection throughout most of the game
