They're probably trying to stay far away from Green Lantern for now lol Yeah, that is a big mistake imho. I know they just had a reboot they screwed up few years ago. I am just baffled they would use cyborg over Martian Manhunter though. Disappointed they won't even try! Martian Manhunter is awesome. They even have great cgi now they can use. Ah well..

Cyborg was one of the original members in the new 52. So they probably looked to that. Green Lantern will probably show up later in the universe.

The Suicide Squad is more than just describing the squad, it's a metaphor that DC live action is straight up suicidal. It could spell the end of them forever.
RIP indeed

Watched SS yesterday it wasn't as bad as some of the reviews online. Having said that it was a mess. I'll talk about the good first. Deadshot was the standout of the movie. He was badass, funny and the most fleshed out character in the movie. Amanda Waller came in a close second she was 100% like the comicbook version great performance. Diablo was the surprise of the movie didn't expect much but he did good. Harley Quin was okay she did't get annoying. Killer croc, Katanna weren't really need in this film lol. the pair had barely and speaking lines and just stood around. Need more of the Joker he was weird and behaved differently in every scene he was in.
The bad enchantress holy shit was she a bad villain and actress. Her plans were never explained and that ending was really bad. I don't know if they rushed the ending or they really though that was acceptable but it bad and predictable. Second DC film in a row were it felt choppy I heard 10+ scenes were deleted from the movie and you can tell. Many of the joker scenes in the trailers don't show up in the movie. I really wanted this film to be great but it was only slightly enjoyable the characters really carried this movie from the bad plot, villain and choppy editing. I give it 6/10.

Not a fan, not saying he can't/won't do a good job. I just don't think he's the first guy I would have hired. Granted I don't think Drogo being Aquaman was a great hire either but who cares what I think!

He definitely has Batman qualities that Nolan's Batman lacked. Not saying this guy will be good but it's going to be much easier to play Deathstroke than someone like Batman. Also it's one of my favorite villain/Anti hero finally being on the be screen.

I'll be honest, the movie looks good, but I'm not as enthused about is as most Marvel movies. I mean, most heroes are dealing with space armies and infinity stones, and spider man is dealing with a man in a suit. Obviously he has to start somewhere, so I shouldn't be complaining. With the next Spider-Man movies though, they really need to implement Venom/Carnage, iconic characters that were never done justice in the previous movies (venom at least)

Also it's spiderman who imo is way more interesting than alm those other marvel heroes

@iamoutbreak OutRosez let's discuss this homecoming here without fear of spoilers what is your opinion on the MJ reveal? did you like the villain? where does this rank in your marvel films? was it better than logan or wonder woman? I thought it was fairly obvious, although I'm not sure I like her personality for the party she's playing. MJ is traditionally pretty vibrant and outgoing not reclusive witty slightly manic pixie dream girly. I think she'll be fine probably, it just seemed weird to do her like that. I'd kind of rather they just invented a new love interest for him over that. I loved Vulture, best MCU villain imo. Well developed, well written, well acting. Keaton played his part pretty magnificently. One thing I think that I haven't really seen elsewhere is that I think he outacted Holland by a lot, especially in the car scene. Which really irked me because that should have been a better scene but it wasn't really. He'll get better in time I think, but for right now I'm not over the moon with Holland like everyone else. Midpack maybe lower. I didn't like it that much. Suffered from Marvel-itis. Too much forced comedy, I didn't dig the Hughes vibe after the first 30 minutes. I also wasn't that cool with the young spider-man thing, considering there's a time gap between when he was first doing crime fighting to Civil War which was small, and then a larger gap relative from then to now. It felt origins-y, and I really wish they wouldn't do that. No.

It felt origins-y, and I really wish they wouldn't do that. No. I just assumed from the start that she would be a major love interest and around the time people assumed she would be MJ and were freaking out about the race change, I didn't think she would be her since I believe Marvel said she wasn't going to be. They lied. I'm still not sure why her name is Michelle tho. I like her a lot tho. She's easily way better than Dundst. I don't really care that she isn't a traditional MJ but I also can get on board with a whole new character that is his new major love interest but I feel like nerds would cry about that shit too. I agree compleletely about Vulture being the best villain. It's really not even close. That scene where he discovers who Parker is might actually be better than Spider-Man one. That scene was intense as fuck and no other villain ever had a scene like that. People in the theater gasped hard and were super into it. The daughter twist also caught me by surprise. His everyman, ruined by Stark motive was refreshing in that it wasn't some grandiose BS. the costume was fantastic since the first trailer showing him too. I loved Keaton's whole performance. Dude killed it. I never knew Keaton like that because his Batman films were before my time so I was never even into him like that but for him to totally come back into the spotlight the last few years is cool af. I don't know where I rank it or how much I love it because it's so soon. I mean, I didn't even hate Amazing Spiderman 2 when I saw it but when I sat on it, I was like that shit was pretty crap. I don't rate it above Logan by any means because that might actually be the best comic book film this side of Dark Knight and I haven't seen Wonder Woman yet but I can't imagine that being better simply due to me not caring about that character but who knows? I definitely liked this more than Doctor Strange which I'm pretty sure is the last MCU shit I saw. I think Holland is a great Parker tho. I wasn't as sold as everyone else seemed to be in Civil War but this film got me totally on board. He gives me a lot of Michael Cera vibes and that's somehow great for a Peter Parker. I think they;re doing at least 2 more films set in highschool so I hope he doesn't go Tobey on us where he's clearly not his age because dude is already in his early 20s.
