I was being cheeky, but I'm interested to check that out! Yea I believe he had a couple double centuries for my club, and won player of the year that I was playing, he was awesome to bowl at in the nets (I was a bowler, sucked shit at batting) What's your style of bowling?

Pace bowler, I don't play anymore, but when I did the fastest I was clocked at was around 132kmph (I was 17 at the time), but yea, I could never really understand how to bat properly. What about you?

Decent bowler terrible batsman. I remember one time I got put out to open the 2nd innings as a night watchman, I slogged everything, not one defensive shot haha

I grew up in area where most kids would laugh at you for mentioning cricket, so it wasn't a big thing for us. Browntown, my little bros, and our friends would play a lot on my street. At the time, we were between the ages of 11 - 14. We were such ghetto kids though. We had the real bats, but we had no shin-pads, wicket keeper gloves, or even sticks for a wicket. We would use these blue barrels we found in my garage as the wicket. We played with a tennis ball, since we were playing on a cement road. We didn't want to damage the houses around us either. I played a few times with the real cricket ball on a field, but I was honestly scared shitless fielding against it. My dad would haunt me with stories about knowing kids in India, and Trinidad and Tobago that were killed by a shot drilled to their head. Legit freaked me out. Browntown said I had a lot of promise as a batmans. Don't know how legitimate this is, since we were playing with a tennis ball, but when I got into a zone, I would smack those balls over the roof top of houses over and over again. I just didn't have the patience to play the sport though. I was more into hockey and basketball.

There was a cricket house league that opened up here 6 years ago. I really did consider giving it a try by walking into practice sessions and learning to play the game properly. I never did attend any of those pratices and the league folded after 3 years. In hindsight, I should have given it another shot. Oh wellz.

Thats great to hear, and I suppose you're right, not a lot of people follow it in certain countries, I was also scared shitless of the proper cricket ball, me and my brother play with a tennis ball from time to time (no pace, we just like playing spin) but it's fun, I wish personally I stuck with it, because who knows what can happen, but my brother is focused on his rugby and at the time I was focusing on Tae Kwon Do. I would love to pick it up again someday, on a social level.

The problem with me was that I used love batting, then I learned the rush of taking wickets. I would only focus one or the other. Stupid of me lol.

Browntown and I always talk about bringing in all our Eastern Asian friends/family together to play a random game at the park during the summer. We've been in talks for half a decade now. Probably won't happen, but maybe this year. Playing on a social level would be cool.
Can you explain how you can field a rocket shot with your bare hands? The sport hightlight shows over here go gaga over baseball players that field bare handed catches. I always think to myself, "That? That's nothing. Freaking cricket players do that mutliple times a game, and they're closer to the ball!"

Yup, exactly, but if you look at todays game, the all-rounders are the most sought after players, look at the numbers they are getting paid in the IPL, I suppose at the time we liked to focus on one of the skills.

It fucking stings, thats for sure, theres no real method for properly fielding it other than keeping your eyes on the ball and watching it into your hands, but nothing takes that sting away. And I don't follow baseball at all, but if they are going crazy over that stuff they should have a look at these cricket players.

India with a terrible start. Ashwin first over allowed 22 runs. They're beginning to take wickets now.

You guys should sign up at cricket-championship.com. its a cricket management game where you get a team train them and set all your tactics. This one has 4 day fc though and is more tactics based than just financial superior clubs dominate because they've been around longer. Pitch weather and good tactics can beat better teams although the top teams still have better trained and higher skilled teams but it seems easier to get there Just made a team. No idea what I'm doing. Let me know if you want to play a friendly.

These commentators are hyping up Watson so much. "He will surely be missed, for sure." I can just imagine the entire country of Austrialia groaning lol.

Watson is bowling great. Placed a lot of pressure on the batters now. 49 runs needed on 18 balls.

Dhoni clinches it with a boundary. How often have we seen that? Onwards to the semis!

This...might be too complicated for me lol. I'm going to take your advise and give it a shot, but I have a strong feeling I'm gonna crash and burn through the learning curve.

I don't understand the batting/bowling aggression in the tactics page.

I don't understand the batting/bowling aggression in the tactics page. What part of it? The higher the aggression the more they take risks batting and bowling the more aggressive your field is. Usually you'd just keep them around 5 and 5 in one say and say 3bat 5 bowing fc. Then use the advanced tactics to do things like bat more defensive while the ball is new and your batsman is new. So if you put say -1 aggression when the ball is under 10 overs old an overall batting aggression of 5 drops to 4 in that period. Or in a 50 over game you may set your team to bat at +2 if its over 40 overs and then +1 if its over 45 which would add up to +3 if its over 45 because both conditions accumulate Its simple once you get your head around it. Thanks for the tips. My mind was making everything seem more complex than it really is. Your explanation clarified everything. Don't know how active I'm going to be using it. My final month of school is about to begin where I have something due every single week. Good time to start something new!

afghanistan beating windies is a good sign of why some people don't take t20s too seriously Its all fun and game unless you put money in it and lose. Then its tearful anguish.
