Let's go for ones that I actually watched the whole thing. 1. Nichijou 2. Kill la Kill 3. Azumanga Daioh 4. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 5. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt No Ranma? Only watched about half of it. Also, manga is better.

Ok. Like clockwork, my top 5 has again shifted thanks to completion of Samurai Champloo. I'm placing it 4th, pushing Bebop to 5th and pushing Hero Academia to 6th This also means none of the shows I watched as pre-graduation of college is in the top 10. Watching this next ;)

Finished FMA Brotherhood, and I got to say, that's the greatest thing I've seen. The ending kinda dipped in quality slightly, but it was fantastic throughout with only 1 filler episode in my opinion. Everything else was essential. Great mix of comedy, action, suspense, etc and I felt there really was a great balance between both sides (not really one sided type fihgt). Every episode seems to have an action element at least rather than just a story With that said, I have updated the top 5 to include my changes and to add kaiteng in there

Bb put champloo on his #1 list so that made it go higher up lol I like Samurai Champloo but as I mentioned yesterday in anime thread, it is just not as great as Death note and SteinsGate. Currently 9 episodes in. Not blazing through it at same pace as the other 2.

1) Samurai Champloo - perfect anime, from the music to the humor. That baseball episode is one of the greatest. 2) Hunter x Hunter - when I saw the poster for the anime I thought it was some kiddy shit, man was I wrong. It had the best action scenes I seen. Characters didn't waste time talking half the episode, the "good guys" got their asses kicked and no amount of feelings or power of friendship saved them from their superior opponents. 3) One Punch Man - the last time I had as much fun watching an anime was in like 2007 watching the Naruto Chunin exams when I was 16. OPM was like a breath of fresh air. 4) Parasyte - this one deals with so many issues, makes you see things from a different perspective. Also the feels. 5) Full Metal Alchemist - both versions are great, I actually haven't finished Brotherhood but already read the manga.
Still gotta watch Steins Gate and Death Note but doubt they will crack my Top 5, I definitely prefer good action the most. Recommend me some good shit bros.
It's crazy how nobody gives a shit about Naruto/Bleach now. Their first couple arcs were so good, but then it all went downhill. I wonder what will be the next "big" anime like those.

Yeah i doubt steins would top your top 5 list if you like action. I would recommend Black lagoon Monster (haven't watched it but heard good things. I am planning to watch this one soon ) Psycho pass Cowboy Bebop These are more mature I like your list btw You probably watched Attack on Titan

I have tried watching Steins Gate episode 1 like three times but quit couple minutes in every time, so fucking slow. Monster seems good, but way too old, I can't watch anything that's not "modern anime" style unless it's Fist of the North Star type action. Already finished Psycho Pass and Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon is on my list though. It's made my MADHOUSE so it's gotta be good. BTW have you seen Overlord? And no actually I haven't seen Attack on Titan yet, I heard someone say don't get attached to any of the characters so I stayed away from it. So guess I got Death Note, Steins Gate, Attack on Titan, Black Lagoon and Code Geass to finish. On top of Berserk, Re-Zero and Taboo Tattoo every week. Ever since Game of Thrones ended I have been devouring anime series at an alarming rate.

I have tried watching Steins Gate episode 1 like three times but quit couple minutes in every time, so fucking slow. It picks up somewhere at the 9th one, so you gotta be real patient, but the reward will be worth it because SHIT GETS REAL BTW have you seen Overlord? Overlord? Nope. If i has shit loads of action, I'll take it and add to my list. Looks good on the synopsis and it's also made by Madhouse too And no actually I haven't seen Attack on Titan yet, I heard someone say don't get attached to any of the characters so I stayed away from it. :D Characters do die pretty frequent, but the main ones haven't died yet. If you enjoy just some bloody, "horror" themed scenes, then it's good to give AoT a try. The first episode is a holy shit moment for me. If you don't care about groping breasts, then Nanatsu no Taizai (Seven Deadly Sins) have some great action scenes. I was thinking of recommending Code Geass initially, but I hesitated because it's a little over the top. Glad to see you are watching that though. It's great. I want to recommend you Boku no Hero Academia, but I'm not sure if it's quite your cup of tea. Once you get to episode 4, it picks up with better action scenes and it concentrates on the developing young heroes' talents. Pulls off some creative scenes in my opinion.

I will probably leave Steins Gate for last after I get tired of all the action anime.
Overlord is basically a mature version of Sword Art Online, the main character is Saitama type warlock that ends up in a new world. Episode 3 and 4 are the best part.
Oh yea totally forgot about Seven Deadly Sins, that showed up on my recommendations. Will add that to the list.
Heard Hero Academia is like One Punch Man mixed with Gurren Laggan, will look into it as well.
Still gotta finish Erased before I get through the rest though.
Erased Black Lagoon Attack on Titan Code Geass Seven Deadly Sins Hero Academy Death Note Steins Gate
I have to survive until One Punch Man season 2, that is my goal.

I was already sold before that and your description makes me excited. As for One Punch Man, List sounds like you have enough to last you through the rumored time especially if you're watching Black Lagoon Roberta's Rebellion and Code Geass Akito the Exiled (brace yourself for this one as this one definitely isn't as good; I'd say average at best)

I hope it comes out in October, hate how the anime studios rarely reveal actual info, we get confirmation of American TV shows years in advance, they should learn.
I'm gonna try to get through the list asap.

I finished Samurai Champloo last night.. Mehh... Music was nice, humor too but story was weak & not the focus of the show at all except for maybe 5-6 of the episodes of the entire show. The last few episodes were awesome, but to me, it just doesn't compare when we compare the totality of show vs totality of death note and Steins;Gate.
For death note and Steins;Gate, almost every single episode counts. The suspense builds up beautifully until we reach the mind-boggling levels of insanity. I was on the edge of my seat the entire shows! Samurai Champloo was up and down. Still putting it in my top 5 anime, but I think it will not last for long.

Since I've been watching so much anime, thought I would put my top 5 in. 1) Samurai Champloo - this anime for me is perfect, from the soundtrack to the beat em up style, mix of action and comedy, this gives me it all, I've never felt the rush I got from this anime from any other anime I've ever watched, I was glued from episode one. All credit for this one goes to @briebriee 2) FMA/FMA:Brotherhood - the very first anime I ever watched, I thought after watching that and seeing a few other animes that it was never going to get knocked off the top spot, but it has, still a solid top 2 and would recommend to anyone, this has a deep storyline mixed with action, an emotional roller coaster. 3) Cowboy Bebop - this anime was way before it's time, for an anime made in the late 90's it would still rank in peoples top 3 if it was released today, very cinematic, great action, characters that have distinct storylines and backgrounds, this anime is another one that I would recommend even too people that hate anime. It's no secret why some people call it the GOAT anime. Left me wanting more and more. 4) Steins;Gate - this ones a bit different, not as much action, but a deep storyline, for the people that are intrigued with an anime that makes you think, this is for you, also very emotional and tugs on the heart strings. Credit goes to @briebriee 5) One Punch Man - action packed, short anime that gives you a burst, in your face action, with great comedy to boot, I would recommend this to everybody, even people that do not watch anime. Credit for this one goes to Hellfire Missile Pack and my brother

Good list. Another number 1 pick for Champloo. Nice! bladefd.

Good list, @blackandwhite. I guess I was the only one who had something negative to say about Samurai Champloo. FMA is next on my list once I finish rewatching death note and beating uncharted 1 Anyways, keep watching, ladies and gents.

I guess I was the only one who had something negative to say about Samurai Champloo. It's not really negative to say Samurai Champloo isn't top 5. Lots of anime users probably don't have it in their top 5, especially those with high volume watched series (ie came from MAL). I've only completed 40 (more if I didn't combine the seasons and align it like MALs), so there is higher probability for Samurai Champloo to be in my top 5. I'd say it won't last in terms of being maintained at that spot.

Really not much buildup in terms of plot except for the lady ninja and the guy ninja at the very end. As I mentioned, you could change around the order of half of the episodes in the show, and you would never notice. The exception is the early few episodes and latter few.

As I mentioned, you could change around the order of half of the episodes in the show, and you would never notice. The exception is the early few episodes and latter few. I don't put much value in that as I find it much more enjoyable to be entertained. What you said isn't a negative to me. Champloo achieved with well choreographed fighting scenes that were unique on sword play, provided great humor, soundtrack was killer, and Mugen & Jin are characters that I cared enough. It's why I put South Park, Simpsons, etc in my top shows in general. Really not much buildup in terms of plot except for the lady ninja and the guy ninja at the very end. That's probably one of the few negatives that a person would see in the show. I was more built up to seeing Mugen fight Jin round 2 and that plot was building in anticipation for that, but the battle never happened again (that's my negative)
