TheEtherBefore I respond to your first rebuttal, your graphic in 2nd post required starbrand to die first. After he got killed, he could wake up and unleash enough energy to fight off Beyonder. If there is no nerf then I can open Vulcan at full beyond omega level power. It would open up a can of worms, but vulcan can match starbrand straight up if you want to un-nerf their powers completely. "Vulcan was stated to be "beyond Omega Level",[71] "past Omega" by Prof. X,[74] and "way past Omega" by Rachel Summers,[75] after being exposed to burst of mutant energy, and while merged with his teammates." If you want to unleash all out then we can go there too ;) As for first rebuttal, give me a little time to take that apart.

I just saying he could take a blast from him and has much higher durability than Vulcan. Even if you put Vulcan at past Omega level if StarBrand was at his potential he would be a game breaker and win every matchup. So no to the unleash the full potential thing.

my compadre at comicvine has this to say about my match-up: "I'll throw in my two cents then I reckon helspont would win for a number of reasons such as him being pretty much Majestics equal (I don't think either have really beat each other) Him having no real weaknesses no weakness to kriptonite, and no vulnerability to telepathy I also would like to add hod face is made of fire so logically manhunter would be afraid of him" comicvine.gamespot.com/forums/battles-7/helspont-vs-martian-manhunter-383444/Manhunter over came his fear of fire a long time ago. Is there feats or scans to show Helpont is invulnerable to mind control.

Helspont does have a weakness Environmental Intolerance: M-Class planets such as Earth have a highly toxic effect to his true Daemonite form after a short while. This is a big weakness with the battlefield being place on earth. Manhunter isn't no slouch. It's not going to take a short time to takeout Manhunter and the longer the fight goes the weaker he becomes Scottie4Hottie

Pre judgments I can always be wavered but this round is pretty tough.
Round 1 Matchup #2 (Still Savage Land, same hot/dry conditions with sun over the head)
ZeN vs AmericanB@da$$ Lord Helspont vs Martian Manhunter
TheEther vs Blade Orion vs PowerGirl
Outbreak vs Coopernicus Magneto (prepped) vs Carnage - No match up Mags takes this easy.
Rondo vs Anti-Hero Ultron vs Thor - Due to location man.

browntown, just for good measure, what do you think about Starbrand (prepped) vs Vulcan? I don't know man!!!! With the inability to warp reality I cant imagine Starbrand winning. Vulcan can out last our power, but starbrand is so good. I just want to see all the arguments before I finally decide lol. :doomguy

Manhunter over came his fear of fire a long time ago. Is there feats or scans to show Helpont is invulnerable to mind control. You besides his entire cannon? Using new 52 version which is 5+ years and his fire weakness isn't as crippling.

Bro, here we go. Durability Star Brand Extreme physical durability This is all after Starbrand dies. If he dies, he wakes up with powers like those. We can play the “if” game and un-nerf both their powers. Let’s also bring in Vulcan’s ability to manipulate time and physical adaptation. With physical adaptation, Vulcan can adapt his physical durability to the levels of Starbrand. Time can also be frozen or slowed down around Starbrand then Vulcan can just come in and unleash over and over and over. Remember, Vulcan needs no food for extensive periods as he can absorb pure energy and convert it to body energy. He can go on smashing around Starbrand while manipulating time. Remember, Vulcan also has the force fields to protect him, and he is able to repair his body if he is ever damaged. “After being swallowed by the soil of Krakoa, he absorbed the powers of his teammates Sway, Darwin, and Petra, giving him their powers of time manipulation, physical adaptation, and earth manipulation respectively.” If we un-nerf them.. “According to information from his creator, Ed Brubaker, Vulcan has a "hidden potential" which allows him to fully generate and have control over the 7 elements (fire, earth, electricity, wind, water, darkness, and light). Due to this supposed/intended ability, it can be argued that Vulcan is a match for other god-like heroes or villains such as Silver Surfer, Phoenix, or Onslaught.” Gladiator’s power is limited only by his confidence. He can be as powerful as superman depending on his opponent. Now, let’s look at the circumstances. Vulcan faced the entire imperial guard along with their leader Gladiator. “Vulcan kills several powerful guardsmen in combat (Neutron, Cosmo, Smasher, and Impulse, among possible others), but is defeated by Gladiator, and taken to a prison moon.” Think about that! Vulcan fought the entire imperial guard solo. He took them all down then he fights Gladiator. Think of how tired vulcan would have to be after fighting so many people. In our fight, he is up against Starbrand straight up 1v1 combat. Not an army. Vulcan is also not coming out of a major battle before facing Starbrand. As for Havok, he had to absorb a sun before he had a chance vs Vulcan. The fight never finished though. Shi'ar Imperial Guard ended the fight before they could finish. We never find out who won so its incorrect to say that empowered Havok won. We don’t know! As for Black Bolt, , he killed Vulcan with his scream. It took black bolt to scream his face off to kill Vulcan - when black bolt screams, nearby stars explode. Vulcan still came back to life by bringing his body mass back together through pure energy. Black bolt next had to scream louder than he has ever screamed to kill Vulcan (black bolt died too in the process, destroying the solar system). Remember, Starbrand is no Black Bolt, who could destroy a solar system with a single loud shout. When black bolt killed vulcan, vulcan just brought his body mass together with pure energy. On his 2nd even louder shout, blackbolt killed himself, vulkan and destroyed the solar system. Starbrand could match empowered Havok but we don’t know if Havok would have even won that fight. Finally, Vulcan can buy plenty of time with his force fields and bombard different radiation at Starbrand until he gets the right one. AFAIK, there is no time limit to these comic battles. Fight can last 2 minutes or 2 years. “Star Brand has almost unlimited energy that comes from the mark of the StarBrand” You’re right, Vulcan cannot absorb infinite energy. No being in the universe can – not even Galactus or Thanos or Superman Prime One Million. Maybe One-Above-All can lol. If that is how you will fight, I would lose even with Galactus, Thanos, Superman Prime One Million, Silver Surfer and Vulcan fighting together 5 vs Star Brand solo. If that is how fight will go, then you win.

Getting better at arguing my case hopefully that weakness to M- type planets help me out. If Manhunter can by time by phasing and using his many abilities he will wear him down. He also has a speed advantage.

Sort of like a boxing match if you have the speed/ stamina advantage and the other guy has a more powerful punch you wear him down by dodging and runing around the ring lol.

Depending on how much you nerf the characters, the only advantage Starbrand has is physical durability.
And Vulcan's energy absorption has its limits. He is still considered an "Omega-Level Energy Manipulator" but he is not a god.

I know Magneto is obviously a huge favorite over Carnage, but shouldn't there be more said than "Magneto wins"?

I know Magneto is obviously a huge favorite over Carnage, but shouldn't there be more said than "Magneto wins"? Carnage gets defeated by Magneto simply creating sound waves. With prep Magneto is capable of doing 100x greater attacks, than that simple needed attack.. #Vibrations
