So, anybody can gimme a recap of the Spurs game? More or less, the Spurs played incredible defense on Curry which I highly doubt will be too effective in the future. It's not every game that Curry will go 1-12 from 3 point range, he'll be hungry for revenge the next time they meet. And Aldridge played fantastic, didn't try to overdue anything, just did what he knows he can do. Still though, No Iggy and no Bogut hurts the Dubs, they'll be better next time. Or maybe finally somebody played playoff style against the Warriors? Maybe I am the idiot, but I don't think Curry can do as good as he has been in the regular season in the playoffs. Defense and hustle is much more intense in the postseason, especially the last couple of rounds.

Raps are 1.5 games behind Cavs now and there are some winnable games along the way.
Still, if the 1st place means they have to face Bulls then I don't want it.

Spurs lowkey also having one of the greatest seasons ever.
Going to be interesting if they can do this to Golden State four times in a playoff series.

Warriors or Spurs have to win on the other's court.
Both teams were able to play their styles on the opposing court and resulted in a win. Warriors were the more impressive win, although no Duncan was available. However, no Iggy was available for GS last night.
Can't wait to see these 2 teams go at it at full strength.

SA and GS meeting in the playoffs could be substance for one of the best series ever imo...and it wouldn't even be in the finals.

One thing people dont mention is this was a back to back for the warriors. That makes a difference. Still, that is the sort of physical defense they may have to deal with.

Ill preface this by admitting that I dislike Curry, so this could be bias speaking...but I think that he failed to adapt as the game progressed. He was tired, his shot wasn't falling, and he took several possessions by just chucking up a deep three over a defender rather than trying for something else, be it a pass to a teammate or waiting for a better shot for him. I've come to view Curry as something closer to a shooting guard than a point guard, last night reinforced that for me a little.

Kerr has basically played him as a SG all year anyway. Hes taken the same aproach to curry as brown did to AI almost exactly. Have other people guard his matchups, run him off a ton of screens, limit the plays he initiates as a PG.

It's a shame for GS imo because that game was still winnable. I thought that overall, the close calls went their way, but it was tight enough through most of the game that turning those long, pull up threes into attempts to do something else could have been the difference. Spurs defense was great though, definitely the best against Curry that I've seen this year.

GS can play physical basketball. They just need their full team healthy. Missing Iggy, Bogut, and Festus hurts (I know Festus is done) but when they bring those guys back, they can change their fortunes around quick and can play any style.

I dont agree at all, but physical basketball is not a style you're allowed to play 90% of the time in the modern NBA anyway. This is the first time all year Ive seen the refs take a backseat and let that stuff go through the 4th qtr with GS. I remember the clippers did the same thing one game through the first half and the second half started and almost immediately they started calling the touch fouls again and the warriors caught up.

I hate to be that guy, but Anthony Davis is a disappointment as a franchise player. Although being injury prone and having another injury riddled teammate as the second best player on his team are not on him, the fact remains that NOL are too good to be winning less than 30 games. Especially right after a playoff run.

First of all, they lucked into that playoff "run" (got swept; thankfully they weren't the worst sweep of those playoffs and it was GS that swept them). If OKC has Durant, they aren't in the playoffs. They got there on a tie breaker. Looking at the talent on the floor, it's hardly "too good" to be winning less than 30 when they are missing games too. I don't know if WS/48 (league average is .100) is a great indicator of talent alone for an advanced stat, but all his teammates rank below .100. AD absolutely underachieved this year to the hype he was getting and he needs to stay healthy, but he's only 23 years old and will definitely be a keeper for any team once he gets the right guys are around him. How is an "empty stats" guy considered borderline Top 10 anyways ?

NO won games that's why they were in a position to luck into that playoff run as you put it. I am not calling him empty stats as I abhor the term, but he should work on his game especially setting others up.

I do think he works on his game, but I didn't like him working on his range. I just don't think he'll ever develop that elite range, he should be working on his post up game and passing to shooters. Wasn't he a point guard growing up ? I wonder why that hasn't translated into the NBA.
Get Davis wings who can defend and shoot, but can also stay on the court. Find a better defensive big. I think that high lottery should net them 1 of the 2.

Pelis are that organization that keeps on gambling even when they've lost so many times. For real, how you gonna sign Asik to a long time deal? He's been poo for the longest time.

Who else is going to score? That team sucks offensively. If Davis becomes more like a point forward where he sets up his teammates, the team would be worse. Who is he going to pass it to? Norris Cole? Kendrick Perkins? Omer Asik? Ryan Anderson (who is ok)? No one in that team really is a consistent threat besides Davis and maybe Reke, but he's out for season.

Anthony Davis might lose 24 million in bonus money if he doesn't make an All-NBA team now.
