Mycoangelo taking over Pinky. Not much change in the IQ department.

Sam Hinkie was a self proclaimed genius and he deserved to lose his job. How can a man who has set up one the worst runs as a General Manager sit there and pretend that he left on his own terms? As a leader you should never allow/tinker with the idea of tanking or losing on purpose. I feel bad for the fans, but then I quickly retract it because lets face it a lot of Philly fans are just ass holes.
As for Bryan Colagelo he is great at rebuilding a roster from scratch, he has shown his magic with the Suns and Raptors. The issue with him lies with the years after, he is un able to shed out players that no longer fit the system and is incapable of making the right long term decisions. If I was 76ers ownership I would hire him for 2 years and give him a short ass leash.
He ruined the Raptors with tagging and focusing on Bargs and not acquiring any great role players. But saying that he did deal for Lowry, give DeRozen a decent contract and drafted Jonas. So there is good in him unlike Hinkie.

Hinkie's plan was idealistic, but not sound. The team is a business to sell entertainment. You can't sac years of that side in general management even if it can make the team great again

How did this guy get a GM position when you can't communicate with the people your working with ? A lot of GM's can't communicate with there employees. Thats why its important to make sure you anally check every option and get a team of people who can make smart NBA decisions to go hire the right person. Not wing it and let the franchise rot.

The one I feel sorry about the most is Brett Brown. He came from the Spurs organization to this Philadelphia shit hole. Hinkie's plan in theory is what you actually need to quickly rebuild, but he traded/acquired shitty players instead. His draft was to aim for the highest valued assets, regardless of risk and he never used the assets to his advantage through trade until they become shit. Brett Brown then accumulates all these losses and then here comes the new management who probably will fire him. Just a sad start of his head coaching career. I hope he gets another chance.
