Smart man with a smart thread. Should we make an IPL, PSL, BBL Thread?

Been watching India vs England test match last 2 days (obviously not all of it). I think it's pretty entertaining. Definitely better than baseball and soccer.
I never really watched cricket before more than here and there and highlights + some cricket game outbreak streamed before (think it was Australia vs New Zealand). It's fun though.
I don't quite know all of the intricacies of cricket, but you really don't have to know everything to enjoy the sport. All you need to know are the basics such as how you can out players, how runs are scored, concept of wickets, 4s/sixers, innings, overs, I used to play cricket with some friends when I was like 6/7 years old in India so I do know some of the basics already (we didn't follow any rules or anything back then as children tho lol).

Scottie4Hottie Heisenberg outbreakHow about that opening duo?? Sharma/Dhawan with centuries apiece Been watching cricket lately and that game today... O the humanity! India dominating with no Kohli. Bumrah/yadav/chahal tearing up the bowling. Does India have the best team overall? They lost to england in test match last month.

India dominating with no Kohli. Bumrah/yadav/chahal tearing up the bowling. This might be the best era of Indian cricket. They are finally complete in all aspects of the game. Batting/Bowling/Fielding and their youngsters are really coming to their own. They might dominate for the next decade or until Australia gets their shit together again.

h Bangladesh seriously can't catch a break. I got nervous there.. 12 runs in 12 balls.. Jeez, Bangladesh had that game won.. They straight out choked. Those last 6 balls were nuts. Absolutely crazy with Jadeja out. Bhuvneswar and the other guy Jadhav with pulled hamstring could barely walk. Goddamn. They pulled 6 rabbits out of a hat lol. I had no idea what would happen if they ended in a tie.. Announcer said extra overs has apparently never happened in ODI cricket tournament history. I don't know what happens in that situation. Last ball ended the tie though. Hell of a game.

They are good, IPL has really helped India become a power house. With PSL and BPL emerging, expect other asian nations to eventually catch up. India is still an ok test team. Overall I wasn't too impressed by their Asian cup performance. That being said they will be contenders for years to come.

India's problem is usually playing overseas. A lot of the pitches they prepare locally for all the subcontinent teams make for silly cricket. Alot of teams prepare pitches to their strengths but some of the pitch conditions in the last 10 years or so really make a case for the ICC appointing independent grounds keepers or sanctions for substandard pitches.
That being being said I think right now i think it's tough to separate india, south africa and england as to who is the top side. Depends on conditions.
Australia is a joke right now, no leadership, selectors making stupid choices, poor domestic pitches not preparing players for top level like they used to, lot's of top cricketers not playing domestic FC with how busy the schedules are, selectors fall in love with some players but then give other players limited chances. Last test in UAE we literally had 3 batsmen then a tail by my measure. The rest of the line up was guys you would say are strong batsman if they are batting at 7 not coming in at 4 5 or 6.

What about the team makeups of India, SA and England? Who is the deepest?
India has easily the best batsman in the world in Kohli and one of very top bowlers in Bumrah. India has some of the best bowlers currently. Bumrah, Ashwin, Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Umesh Yadav, Shami. India is lacking in all-rounders though. Jadeja/Ashwin are decent all-rounders (Jadeja probably better) who comes to mind then it falls off.
From my limited knowledge, it seems like England has the most all-rounders and batting depth 1-10. I would probably take India's batting though when you take into account Kohli and the front 6-7 batsmen down to Jadeja, who seems to be the trailing stud batsman before it falls off talent-wise. I haven't watched South Africa play yet though so idk. Saw all of the test matches of India/England/West Indies and the Asia cup. Australia/India test matches are next month, which I want to watch.
What other upcoming test matches or even ODI are worth watching?

Was switching between Lakers game and India/Australia.
India almost screwed it up with so many quick outs but phew, superPujara was there to save things. India might hit 260 runs before their final out tomorrow. Nothing from Kohli or KL Rahul.. This may turn out to be a solid test series but we shall see how Australian batting responds tomorrow.

Australian team is much better than I thought. Bowling and batting are both good.

@notacop Scottie4Hottie @boogiewoogiewam @anyone else who watches cricket Hey, you guys been watching ipl?? It's been bonkers! First time watching ipl for me, and I am impressed. This is some damn good cricket! I missed the first week of ipl, but I watched the game the game yesterday (royals/kings) yesterday with the legendary comeback. Today was the super over game between rcb/mumbai. Both games were spectacular! I am going to watch this more for sure.

Yeah bladefd IPL has some real gems this season. I think with the league being played in Dubai. Has made it an even playing field. It’s sad to see CSK die out. Raina choosing to stay home has destroyed their entire batting lineup.

What’s you fav team in the IPL? I don't have a favorite team yet. Just trying to get my mind around the various teams and the auction format, which I don't know much about. I already know many of the players from international cricket. So far, I like Mumbai Indians, royal challengers Bangalore, and Kolkata knight riders. We will see. I bet if you ask me that next year going into next ipl, I will have a favorite team What's your favorite team?

Now there match fixing allegations. So yeah.... KKR is cool because it’s owned by Sharuk Khan.
