Accept it. Japanese variety TV shows are just better than almost everything people in the West has done.
This thread is dedicated to all things televised in Japan. Most of them will be English subbed so there is no need to be worried about the language barrier.
Start off with one of the best comedy show ever, Gaki no Tsukai.

Another good part of Gaki no Tsukai is that Downtown had very entertaining "free talk" sections, where Matsumoto usually brought different subjects to Hamada and put some twists on them.

The concept is pretty simple: a comedian is put into a restaurant kitchen with all the best ingredients the show staffs can find, assigning him to create a full-course meal all by himself for 7 judges, also fellow comedians. The comedian don't really know how to cook, of course.
