I see it another way. Ceresi's prophecy states that she will be killed by her younger brother. He is to wrap his hands around her neck and choke the life out of her (latter is book only I think) . Now, it's difficult for Jaime to choke her due to the whole one hand thing. The twist is that Jamie chokes her out not physically, but metaphorically. He will be annoited as the Hand of the Queen and his decisions as the Hand will lead her to her doom. I might be wrong but didn't they skip the "your lil bro will kill u bitch" in the show? I agree that, that sounds very very plausible but so far Jaime has been pretty smart. He knows they need allies more than they need to go to war and that trusting the Greyjoys is a disaster. You right. The brother thing is book only too, but that doesn't rule it out as the event to happen. Jaime could be outsmarted going against Varus , Trion. On the other hand, maybe Jamie sabotage her

Unless 8 is just gonna be about her fighting whitewalkers. Which could happen and it would be a nice change of pace for how slowly she's moved so far.

Yeah, for whatever reason they included Maggy the Frog in the show, but left out the Valonquar aspects from the books. Who all are even Cersei's allies at this point? Jaime is allied with her, but grows more discontented every day, Euron has promised to return with a gift for her, so he's a tentative ally And is that kinda it? I doubt house Tarly will swear fealty to the crown after Cersei's destruction of the Tyrells (unless Cersei offers the Reach to the Tarly's in return for fealty).

That's probably her only move unless she gets desperate and offers Jon sole control of the North and pledges to help against the Whitewalkers (she obviously won't hold up this deal).

Danny living, let alone marrying her nephew. Cute If you know the Targaryen history, you would know that it was normal for Targaryen siblings to marry and relatives to keep the blood Targaryen. It was common practice throughout Targaryen history as detailed in the books. Also, we are not 100% sure about R + L = J... We think it is based on the flashback scene last season, but we are not 100% sure

-I am beginning to think it won't be Tyrion who kills Cersei but Jaime. With Arya heading to kill Cersei, I have a feeling she will get caught by someone. Maybe the mountain aka witch. Arya will get tortured with orders from Cersei. Jaime will be forced to get involved and possibly to kill Cersei to shut her psycho self down. Tyrion won't be able to get close to Cersei anytime soon so it has to be Jaime. -Highgarden ain't going to oppose Dany. Jaime will realize that Cersei is finished but Cersei will demand going on the offensive. This will be another prime reason why Jaime will turn on Cersei. -I believe the gift to Cersei by Euron will be the horn that can supposedly control dragons if blown. That was nicely described in the books. I don't remember if we have seen that horn yet in the show. I've always thought it would be him that kills her and not Tyrion, but now I'm struggling to see the setup. I don't think he would kill her even if her actions were endangering her life, much less his own life. I don't think he'll do it by accident or anything either, I just don't see how it would come up outside of something being a disaster that threatens everything. We haven't met learned if Euron has Dragonbinder though. I feel like that's what he has and once he takes control of one of the dragons or tries to but can't do it correctly so it's destroying King's Landing then he might kill both Cersei and Euron because he doesn't want the Lannister family to lose everything and become lost to time like that. It would be a like Mad King on steroids, that's how I can see him killing her only as a last resort to protect what remains of the Lannisters. That's probably the only way to complete his redemption arc I think. Didn't Jaime promise Catelyn a safe return of her daughters back when Jaime was a prisoner? If Arya gets caught in Kings Landing and Cersei orders torture, Jaime may use the promise as a reason to kill Cersei to protect Arya. I think Jaime still has a sense of personal honor, and it was a blood vow he gave Catelyn. He held his end in getting Sansa out, but they never found Arya to get her out. This could be the moment where Jaime finally upholds his vow. You might be right about Euron btw. We already see friction between Euron and Jaime, started by attacks Euron put targeted at Jaime. Euron is clearly scum with horrible character issues and powerhungry. Very good chance Jaime will end up killing Euron.

Either they will rule together or 1 of them will die. The title of series is "A song of fire and Ice" not just fire or ice. Fire refers to Targaryens aka Dany whereas ice refers to Stark aka Jon. (Sansa has always been a supporting character rather than prime focus, and Arya is not into politics. So ice has to focus on Jon). Jon already died, and I can't see him dying again as he will be the guy to fight/kill the whitewalker king based on the signs we have seen thus far. Maybe he dies while killing the whitewalker king, I won't discard that. I can't see Dany dying since she is the last Targaryen member - imagine her coming all the way to Westeros over 7 seasons only to end up dying and ending the Targaryen family line. That would truly be a tragedy of Greek proportions.

Very possible for Jon to bend the knee considering his ancestor did during Aegon's conquest. Considering Jon needs dragon glass from Dragonstone, he'll have to negotiate with Danny. Also, Jon does not have his sights on ruling the 7 kingdoms, which makes that possibility even more sense to let Danny deal with Ceresi's while he deals with the white walkers.

Yeah, Jon does seem like someone who would agree to a deal with Dany because Jon doesn't like politics anyways. He is a leader not a politician. Dany provides the Dragonstone for the throne. I still have a hard time seeing him bending his knee to anyone, considering he is half Targaryen most likely. Jon's ancestors on Stark side were not half Targaryens AFAIK and were full Starks. I guess you can point out full Targaryen > half Targaryen lol Oh, Cersei will be out of the picture before the war with whitewalkers at the wall starts, brah. I can tell you that much. The war with whitewalkers will be the final war, and I believe Westeros will be pretty much together the moment the wall comes crashing down. Everything seems to be leading up to the wall coming down. Imagine this season 7 ending: Cersei gets stabbed in 2nd to last episode of season, whitewalkers win the opening battle at the eastern most castle on the wall in last episode. In the final scene, the wall comes crashing down to rubble. Season 8: Westeros comes together under 1 single banner, led by Jon on the field and Dany back at Dragonstone. Final episode of show we see Jon and the whitewalker king fight.

Danny doesn't need dragon glass and will Negotiate. That's why Jon bending the knee is a likely possibility. Danny may be unwielding and start an all out FFA. I still wonder about Dany sometimes.. Most of the Targaryens were batshit crazy due to generations of in-breeding. Why should Dany be any different? Her father was batshit crazy, her mother lost her mind after being raped - both her parents were brother-sister too so that's closest inbreeding. Would she even accept Jon or would she attempt to demote him & create a whole political fiasco? Also another entirely separate point to consider. There are not enough episodes left for Dany to attack and take over King's Landing all while the battle in the north continues. There are only 12 episodes remaining in the entire show. There is simply not enough time for a proper HBO-style Dany attack on King's Landing and to do a whole siege. Kings Landing is no longer important to the battle in the North. I think a more likely scenario is for a replication of King Aerys scenario. Euron gets the promised gift in episode 3 by somehow destroying Dany's fleet, Cersei marries the bastard Euron in episode 4. Euron attempts to rape Cersei much like Aerys raped his wife queen. Jaime had a chance to stop Aerys but since he was king, Jaime let the rape happen.. Jaime was deeply distraught by it so this time he will do it differently by killing king Euron in episode 5. Afterwards, Cersei will lose her mind just like Aerys and attempt to kill everyone who stands in her way - maybe she will also order the North to be invaded along with Dragonstone, Dorne, Vale, Highgarden, everyone like a psycho bitch lol. Jaime will kill her to shut her down in episode 6. Then we move the hell on from this bitch of a queen.

I get the sense that the show is now feeling the after-affects of poor writing decisions a few seasons back. It's especially frustrating because even now you can see glimpses of what could have been. a few posts back i remember blade posting something to the effect of HBO giving the okay for more ASOIAF shows, and that just leaves me wondering as to why things were so hastily thrown together not even that long ago, why they went cheap at times, cut pretty significant things and shortened these later seasons. I would have preferred just having a single proper definitive series It seems less outright shit than where we were, but unfortunately I can't say I have anywhere near the same excitement I once did for the show

Before the last 8 minutes my thoughts would have been a single post: I can't wait to see how Sansa fucks this up, and how she pulls a Colonel Tigh!
Now I'm just pretty pissed that's how the Sand Snakes die? REALLY!?!?!? REALLY!?!?!?? That's the best you can do? The cool ones die on a ship in a lame ass way, while the shitty one and the baby one get captured? Okay.

We already know they're not quite as rich as they used to be without Casterly Rock the Lannisters won't have a lot of money period. I feel like they're also doing it to divide her forces. She'll have to defend it and KL. Makes it easier to conquer.

ballupTold you Jon wouldn't bend his knee, m8. It also seems song of ice and fire refers to Jon and Dany based on what the red witch said about ice and fire finally coming together. Sounds very much like a song of ice and fire aka jon+dany. We will know more soon. We also saw Euron and Jaime friction grow. I saw interesting facial expression by Jaime, possibly starting to wonder about Cersei after his words with Olenna. I think it was a hint of things to come. Highgarden is out of the picture as well, which complicates things instantly. We are going to see the dragons being used I presume. Dragons can burn down Tyrell fort to the ground and end that instantly, along with half of Lannister army.

They would have been better off just storming Kings Landing.. Also, somehow Euron's navy just sneaks up on what's left of Dany's navy again? Last time he just somehow snuck up on Dorne navy out of nowhere. This is clearly poor writing. Zero chance GRRM would have done it this way, and zero chance he will in the book. It is clear HBO writers are beyond GRRM's writings and plot due to logical blunders like this. It shows you the brilliance of Martin and the attention to detail he employs in his writings. Also, where are the Dothrakis? I didn't see them with the unsullied..

Also, where are the Dothrakis? I didn't see them with the unsullied.. She can't use the dothraki for invasion stuff because it would show that she's a foreign invader to all the lords and shit. They're definitely protecting Dragonstone for now. I actually think Euron attacking and taking out the fleet makes sense both times. Sneak attack fits well within what he wanted to do, and clearly if he knew they were heading towards Dorne to rally the troops he'd know for sure that they were obviously going to move to attack somewhere else. KL doesn't make sense because she doesn't want innocents to die if she can avoid it. No reason to send them to Winterfell. Likewise with Dorne, since they're now probably going to crumble without a hierarchy there. A fleet can't invade the peaks, and to attack pyke* in retaliation they'd have to travel allllllllll the way around the entire continent from the southern side. So it totally makes sense for them to head to the rock or back to Dragonstone. You go to the rock because if they're not there you can blockade her and keep her on the island and cut off any potential allies she may have left, and just starve her out. If they're at the rock you obviously have the advantage because there's most likely just going to be ships that are just there to carry troops. While they're still dropping off people and starting the siege you sneak up from behind and you're at a two front advantage until they've breached the walls of the rock somehow. *admittedly since they sailed allllll the way around the continent anyway to attack the rock, going a little further north to attack Pyke wouldn't be a big deal, but if you're Euron anyway you stop sail on by and see if there's anyone there invading, if not you head home and cover your bases. The problem was the writing of having Tyrion being vengeful, and going after it. He was the coinmaester or whatever it is called. He knows that the throne was bankrupt and Tywin was using the rock's assets in the mines to pay off the crown's debt, so why the fuck would they go there? Unless there's some mcguffin in the mines or whatever, it makes absolutely zero sense for him to do it outside of pettiness/vengeance and Tyrion isn't the type to do either really.
