How about the existence of season 1? That's not enough for you? what do you think made season one better? Having Ned, Robert, Cat, and staying mostly to the books >>>>>>> ramsay, sand snakes, all the other bullshit

i have a hard time seeing any legitimate argument against this being the best season First 8 episodes had weak writing though except for the Hodor episode and the one where Dany burns down Vas Dotrak. 4 great episodes (9-10 being awesome) out of 10 with multiple filler scenes in there is difficult when you see first few seasons being what they were with literally no filler scenes.

So next season will be less than 10 episodes well that is gay. Don't forget there will no longer be any story in the far East. They will focus almost exclusively on Westeros now. You don't need 2 seasons of 10 episodes. If you removed the filler scenes in this season and some of the scenes that did nothing to advance or impact the plot in any manner, you could have easily condensed the entire season into 8 episodes without losing any of the storylines!

George gotta get to writing lmao At this point, they are well beyond the books! GRRM can release his next book to catchup but we will be past that book next season. He is never going to catchup at this point until a couple years after the show concludes.

Few observations.. Definitely are spoilers in this post so tread carefully..
-I like the no talk or speech of Dany. Sometimes, silence speaks louder than words, and those sentiments were nicely encapsulated within the Dany scenes.
-Jon Snow definitely looks kingly and he defused any issues/questions his followers or Sansa had in just moments. He will be the king that his brother before him wasn't, and his father before him couldn't be. He is also much more in control of his emotions unlike Aerys Targaryen (mad king) or Robert. He is much more composed than Joffrey. There is no question that Dany will fall in love with him, and they will marry.
-Speaking of Sansa, I used to always be annoyed with her, but she is respectable now. Took 7 seasons for me to respect her, and I think she is cool now in my book. Glad she essentially told little finger to fuck off.
-If we take the Clegane serious about what he saw in the fire, it is clear as light that the battle for Westeros will begin at the east castle on the wall. The wildlings are heading there as well. I expect that to be the final battle of this season. I reckon the white walkers will win that first battle after fierce fighting to leave us at the corner of our seats.
-I am beginning to think it won't be Tyrion who kills Cersei but Jaime. With Arya heading to kill Cersei, I have a feeling she will get caught by someone. Maybe the mountain aka witch. Arya will get tortured with orders from Cersei. Jaime will be forced to get involved and possibly to kill Cersei to shut her psycho self down. Tyrion won't be able to get close to Cersei anytime soon so it has to be Jaime.
-Highgarden ain't going to oppose Dany. Jaime will realize that Cersei is finished but Cersei will demand going on the offensive. This will be another prime reason why Jaime will turn on Cersei.
-I believe the gift to Cersei by Euron will be the horn that can supposedly control dragons if blown. That was nicely described in the books. I don't remember if we have seen that horn yet in the show.

My brother just texted me a really cool theory he has as to what Euron's gift might be.
One of the recurring themes in Game of Thrones has been the stories, legends, and monsters of old really still exist in the world. Nobody believed whitewalkers remained - now the Night King is leading an army of the dead. Nobody believed Direwolves existed south of the Wall - A litter was born and given to the Stark children. People believed dragons to be extinct for centuries - Dany is on her way to Kings Landing with 3 dragons in toe.
Now, the sigil of House Stark, a direwolf, was realized South of the wall by the Stark children. The sigil of House Targaryen, the dragon, was realized by one of the only remaining Targaryens.
So how about the sigil of House Greyjoy. A motherfucking kraken. What if this slick talking motherfucker raises a Kraken to destroy the Targaryen fleet. How absurdly awesome would that be?

I've always thought it would be him that kills her and not Tyrion, but now I'm struggling to see the setup. I don't think he would kill her even if her actions were endangering her life, much less his own life. I don't think he'll do it by accident or anything either, I just don't see how it would come up outside of something being a disaster that threatens everything. We haven't met learned if Euron has Dragonbinder though. I feel like that's what he has and once he takes control of one of the dragons or tries to but can't do it correctly so it's destroying King's Landing then he might kill both Cersei and Euron because he doesn't want the Lannister family to lose everything and become lost to time like that. It would be a like Mad King on steroids, that's how I can see him killing her only as a last resort to protect what remains of the Lannisters. That's probably the only way to complete his redemption arc I think.

That's probably the only way to complete his redemption arc I think. I see it another way. Ceresi's prophecy states that she will be killed by her younger brother. He is to wrap his hands around her neck and choke the life out of her (latter is book only I think) . Now, it's difficult for Jaime to choke her due to the whole one hand thing. The twist is that Jamie chokes her out not physically, but metaphorically. He will be annoited as the Hand of the Queen and his decisions as the Hand will lead her to her doom by strangling the power out of her.

I might be wrong but didn't they skip the "your lil bro will kill u bitch" in the show? I agree that, that sounds very very plausible but so far Jaime has been pretty smart. He knows they need allies more than they need to go to war and that trusting the Greyjoys is a disaster.
