Squirtle is the best of the original starters. Totodile is the best of gen II. Water type in general is the best starter type.

They did it to make up for his looks. Charizard and Blastoise were gorgeous. Venasaur looked like a reject so they had to make up for it. Bulbasaur was a qt3.14 though. He just aged bad

He got fat really quickly. Blastoise gets dope water cannons, Charizard gets wings, Venusaur gets fat. I can't give mod powers in a thread but I will continue to nerd this bitch up.

Mewtwo might seriously be the best Pokemon ever. 154 base special attack, a respectable 130 speed, plus solid defensive and HP stats. Access to the best moves. Plus Mega Mewtwo X offers a physical set and Y offers a ridiculous 194 base special attack, heft special defense at base 120, and a spectacular 140 base speed.

What are his stats compared to arceus and rayquaza? IIRC, he's faster than Rayquaza or Arceus and has an advantage in special attack on both. However, Rayquaza is a 150/150 attack/special attack Pokemon so he can run either a physical or special set with immense potential. Arceus is a great all-around Pokemon with base 120 in everything but he's not an exceptional attacker and rarely sees use outside of his normal type build (focused on STAB extreme speed) because any other type requires him to waste his item slot on a plate to grant him another type. Mewtwo's main advantage over both in his base form is his speed. When we get into Mega versions, Mewtwo's speed advantage is big but Rayquaza's ability to mega-evolve without a stone is huge. Mewtwo is still limited by the ideal focus on either physical or special attacks based on the stone but he outspeeds Rayquaza and can OHKO him with Ice Beam (not guaranteed though). Mewtwo's mega forms open up new possibilities but I think that a normal Mewtwo with a good item can outdamage either (but loses speed and variability). Mega Rayquaza can OHKO Mewtwo (guaranteed) in any of his forms so I think that Mega Rayquaza has the advantage. I don't have any usage stats so I don't know who actually wins out regularly.
