Alright, here we go with the comparisons, I'll start with stats:
PPG Wade: 23.7 - West: 27.0 West was arguably the greatest shooter to ever live (Stephen Curry is challenging that), so it's no surprise he has a higher career ppg than Wade. Wade does have a higher FG%, but I'll get to that later.
RPG Wade : 4.8 - West: 5.8 West has the rebounding advantage here, whether or not that's due to pace is up for debate.
APG Wade: 5.8 - West: 6.7 Wade was and is a fantastic passer for his position, but West has to have the edge here, just a dynamite playmaker.
SPG Wade: 1.7 - West: 2.7 I'm not even going to debate this, West takes it
BPG Wade: .9 - West: .7 Wade is arguably the greatest shotblocking guard to ever lace them up, he wins this particular stat.
TOPG Wade has averaged 3.4 over his career, we currently don't know Jerry West's standing on the stat. It's a draw
FG% Wade: 48.7 - West: 47.4 Wade has shot better, which has a lot to do with his slashing style and shying away from the 3-point shot. Advantage: Wade
3P% Wade: 28.6 - West: N/A While West has never made a 3 in his career, I think we can safely assume he crushes Wade in this particular aspect of the game
FT% Wade: 76.7 - West: 81.4 No surprises here, Move Along
Now we move onto Accolades:
MVP: Neither have won an MVP award
Titles: Wade: 3 - West:1 No matter how you want to spin it, Wade has the great advantage here owning an ATG finals run, as well as winning 2 titles putting in good work.
FMVP: Wade 1 - West: 1 Equal here, West got his in a losing effort, but that to me just makes it all the more impressive
ASG: Wade: 12 - West: 14 I believe West will finish higher ini this particular Category, Max Wade tying him. If Dwyane somehow makes it to 15, I will be absolutely stunned
ASMVP: Wade: 1 - West: 1 It's a tie
All-NBA: Wade: 8 - West:12 Jerry West has got this locked up. I even grouped all the NBA teams together to take the 1st Kobe bias out of the equation for Dwyane Wade, but Jerry West had mad longevity.
All-D: Wade: 3 - West: 5 This one is tough because Wade has legitimately been robbed of multiple, however West is the superior defender from what I've read and heard, so the edge goes to West anyway
Scoring Titles: Wade: 1 - West: 1 They're even, although West is the superior scorer
As for Career totals, West has Wade beat at nearly every turn, add in the fact that Jerry West is literally the logo of the NBA, and it seems like the general conclusion that can be drawn from this is West>Wade all-time, although my homerism does not want to admit it
