I think the France arc was good enough to be on its own. Cynthia's backstory was great imo and it was fleshed out from all angles. Having her being poor, but happy compared to her current rich and vein self. Her ex making a moral mistake only to right it by intentionally becoming the sucker who buys his own fakes. Abby's arc in Singapore, on the other hand, just didn't seem handled well. I mean, her arc could have been melded into the Japan arc without skipping a beat. I didn't feel much of a connection to her even though we know her past. This is despite liking her as a character. France arc felt dragged despite it being 4 episodes for me, but at least there was payoff in the end. Singapore arc, I didn't care Abigail's past, but I felt it was more to understand what she lived through and I thought this arc's intention was mainly to add another layer to her dynamic with Edamura

I'm liking Talentless Nana. Could have been better, but at least it ended decently despite not being a good place to just stop there.

I'm liking Talentless Nana. Could have been better, but at least it ended decently despite not being a good place to just stop there. 2/3 of the season was good, full of damn ankle breakers, but the end is generic imo. It definitely ended in an awkward spot (supposedly in the middle of an arc). It would have been more hype to see which direction Nana the character goes before the start of next season.

It would have been more hype to see which direction Nana the character goes before the start of next season. I didn't get a kick out of it as much as I hoped. The first episode was a good start. Nana was coming from a more unique perspective and with a mentality quite different/refreshing considering the source material is a shounen. The issue to me more lies in most of the characters lacking common sense and/or intelligence as it ruined couple of the moments. Felt like she had easy pickings. I also felt they should have introduced another murderer earlier which would cause more tension and would make more sense in causing confusion via panic. Kyoya in that series was already on Nana yet wasn't focusing his attention in catching her in the act as he was always a step later and consistently there were scenes saying his line of logic and then he would point out that it seemed improbable that Nana would do it. The transformation guy also felt excessive and unnecessary considering his abilities and what he's aiming for. The show did slightly improve in the methodical process later in the series, so I can forgive that. The ending was a bad place yes, and I do agree that it's generic but I still thought the execution was better at that spot considering what was happening at the time.

Got to watch Redo Of Healer live on Tokyo MX today, and.... The subject alone is already very intriguing, but extra, heavily-censored revenge porn is something else. I had to stare at a half shot of a fireplace for half a minute.

Still not sure how AOT is going to finish off the series in 7 episodes when there's 33+ chapters left to cover. As a reference, an episode covers 1-3 chapters.

This season has a strong ass lineup Could it be the most stacked season ever? We are having arguably the best (Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season) AND the worst anime (EX-ARM) in modern anime history on the same season. So, .

Also, they still name Takemoto, one of those KyoAni staff dying in the arson, as the series director of the show

Dogeza anime short was way better than I thought (way better than I Want You To Make a Disgusted Face and Show Me Your Underwear and better than Miru Tights)
+This just proves Sugita is the GOAT seiyuu. Made this funnier +Character end cards are quality +Last episode was the best kind of impact one can ever make in a short +Good amount of diverse scenarios with stylistic background biography. +No actual showing of dogeza. Just all screentime on the girls.

Did you even watch the 2007 Higurashi. The one you're watching is not a remake.

Couple new adaptations to keep an eye on. Mieruko-chan is getting an anime, the manga is good so I would bet on it being at least decent.
This Croc Will Die in 100 Days also just released a PV for the movie coming out in about 2 months.

There actually are clues all over the place as well, so kudos to the director.

Did anyone watch Promised Neverland S2? Been catching up on some stuff and was surprised at how down on it a lot of people are. Yes. I only watch the first half, but I intend to complete So far 1) It's suffering from most "Prison Break" like shows. After the escape, the thrill dies down 2) Mishandling of Norm in the beginning. I haven't read the manga but even I can tell the shitty direction. Manga readers are saying they skipped an entire arc and fast forwarded a lot of things 3) In related to skipping an arc, it's noticeable because they flat out skipped 6 months just like that
