I want to play this shit, but I don't want to install another launcher in my computer... Especially one I won't keep after the beta (even if I decided to buy the game, it wouldn't be until a price drop). What happened to standalones? Or put it on Steam motherfuckers.

Multiplayer only. It's very similar to TF2. Awww, snap! They could have done so much with a story mode. The clips you posted could hold a truly promising story! Ah well. |

The backstory will be expanded on through the video shorts. Incorporating 21 playable characters into a single player story would almost inevitably be disappointing, the route they're going is the best one to take in this situation imo. The shorts are spectacular and hopefully will continue to be so, I have faith in Blizzard! |

Just me though. With the way this game works, it would translate poorly to a campaign. I'm struggling to find the words necessary to explain how difficult and problematic a campaign mode would be for a game like this, the short videos Blizzard will release will be more than enough to delve into the story. |

So far I've put the most time into Pharah but I can also play a competent Junkrat, Bastion, Mercy, and Lucio. I die too much as Tracer but my focus right now is picking up a tank, just so I can play at least one character/role. Reinhardt is a really easy high impact hero so I'll probably look to play him more.

It's fun, idk if I will buy it for console, cant really justify spending $60+ on a strictly multiplayer based game.

A lot of reddit threads complaining about gun ho players who don't play the objective. That Call of Duty mentality. The addition of a competitive gamemode should mitigate that as not playing the objective will prevent them from getting anywhere. At this point, the smartest way to play is to party into a premade with people who know what they're doing. |

It should be $40 for the base game, $60 is the price for what's essentially a collector's edition (called the Origins Edition): it comes with skins and goodies for several Blizzard names. I went with the $40 option. |

I don't believe anyone has made this theory popular, but quick spawns are a major reason as to why this mentality exists. I bought into the review hype and got it. Fun game with a great style but I wonder how much long-term appeal it has unless it gets some additions. Some of the matches can get really chaotic.
